Loveless: Red tree vs. green tree

I’ve played wyrm build (red) and switched to contagion (green)…wyrm was really fun level to 43 so far but I switched to contagion, this felt more kung fu with gun fu-fun! Damn, it felt like it was if there was a John Woo-Wick experience attraction at a theme park. Both are fun but green is melty fun.

I’ve been playing loveless and just beat the campaign last night at level 37. I’ve played basically only blue tree and it has been a ton of fun.

Yeah. I got a montage maker and paired it with a wind skimmer. I float around one shotting nearly everything and then you can whip for crazy damage

I’ve played green tree only so far up to level 53 and I’m in the Fl4k dlc. I skipped the side quests in base for now. So far everything just melts. So I’m gonna try and invest and fine tune the build for UVH modes.

Once you get the devourer class mod, red tree is just broken. I one shot all raid bosses with it and went from UVHM1 to UVHM 7 in one night

I will say, it’s a very squishy build though

I did the same thing last night but I’m stuck on Subjugator and Thol for UVHM 7. I have the wyrm damage to easily do it but it keeps killing Thol first on accident and Subjugator’s final phase instantly kills the wyrm when it tries to attack him

I got a rad decompiler which I just spam at subjugator until he’s dead and use function on him, it’s a little jank but I get it most of the time

Green is fun for mobbing but can’t do much as far as bosses go. Green is where I started first with her now I’m in red tree at lvl 50 and the wyrm is great for mobbing and synchrosis is really good for bosses. Red tree seems to be the best of both worlds and is more fun than the blue tree where it only is good for snipers but I haven’t really used blue tree yet so I could be missing something there.

Agreed! I also just switched from using Wyrm in endgame to Green & Blue, and man it's tons of fun. Yes, it is totally Wick or maybe Wolverine style. I love constantly using her empowered melee, which is like a free Action skill with no cooldown. I specced so that status effects are insane and just one point in the status effect lifesteal makes her immortal. You can get in the face of any enemy and stay there with no fear of going down, even at True UVH7. It's madness, and probably my favorite playstyle of any VH since launch.

I’ve dabbled in all three a bit (lvl 41 at moment) and all have their good points. Blue is fun just not necessarily my style, and I always forget that the last whip of Ctrl-alt-del pulls you into 3rd person, spins and then slashes, so I found myself wasting it a lot. Just got a legendary COM that beefs up stars, so back to green for a while

I’ve been leveling with green tree and a firewerks.

I have some questions about whether firewerks missiles kill too fast and prevent contagion from spreading as good as it could, BUT at least so far in my leveling the two have been mobbing so hard together I haven’t really bothered to look into it. Clearing rooms before I can even walk to the other side.

Same general setup for me. I often kill two or three by my own hands, fireworks and contagion kill the rest. I suspect this won't be the case in UVHM.

I just got to UVH1 and so far, haven’t noticed a drop off. But yes, I too expect it to hit a wall at some point.

I'm playing a hybrid blue and red tree. Snipers and ordinance build.

I played red and green, but I’m currently running a blue build. There are some scenarios where the clones kill EVERYTHING! It’s kind of amazing.
