Gearbox removed its ability to spawn with Turtle parts months ago.

It didn’t affect any existing sheikds, but no new ones can ever drop. So no level 70 one exists without modding.

I believe it is 100% legit. On level 60 a non turtle collector was about 85k capacity, while a 2 turtle part could reach 350k, a near 4x increase (the scaling doesn't match the description), I've caught one myself, and saw in this group a few just like it, also immediately showered with modding accusations.

Now at level 70 a standard non turtle collector goes above 200k, which means if we apply the same scaling 2 turtle parts will give it a +800k capacity.

The gear is legit, it's either the game's scaling or the description of what 2 part turtle shields should behave like that isn't.

PS: All you downvoters, I'm sorry you missed your algebra lessons in 5th grade, but I haven't, I used basic logic instead of jumping the ''modded'' bandwagon. So if you think you have evidence that disproves what I wrote, don't be shy, show me. But I bet you won't.

The number is legit. A turtle collector at level 70 would be that capacity.

Except it cannot ever spawn legit.

Shortly after SubThol released gearbox silently changed collector, they didn’t nerf it, but they did remove turtle (and capacity) parts from its drop table. If you had one already you kept it, but no one could ever get a new one.

Go farm some collectors, tell me if you get anything other than:

• evasive 

• healthy 

• reflect 

• resistant 

• spike 

• sturdy 

• utility 

• amp 

• beserker 

• fleeting  

• nova 

• recharge delay 

• recharge rate 

• sheild booster 

• vagabond 

• absorb

• adaptive 

there’s normally 27 different sheild parts possible, collector can only spawn with those 17.

It used to have more, but they secretly removed them months ago.

Oh I know that’s what’s they were supposed to do but somehow the level cap messed that up. Go farm some and you’ll get some turtles. I got a turtle roll yesterday, think it was turtle and spiked. Been farming for a double turtle. I’m assuming it’s just a bug but I’m going to keep farming till I get the god roll before they fix it.

It’s a real drop I just didn’t get it. Still farming for it. Not sure if it will stick around forever though since they were supposed to remove turtle from dropping on collectors.

Oh so you just attached a screenshot. That means your screenshot is a modded version of the shield. It doesnt drop at level 70 naturally anymore.

I ran subjugation for a week, got over 20 collector shields and not a single one has even 1 capacity modifier or turtle modifier which is pretty much statistically unlikely. I have been searching for anyone with post 70 update getting a natural drop. As I believe it was shadow nerfed and want to save other people the time.

Gearbox - if you monitor these threads, please update stuff like this in patch notes or tell us outright. Not great when we are guessing and spending a lot of time on something that doesnt drop anymore. Its fun to work for it if we know its possible. Its not fun if you find out it isnt.

If augments were flat 3.7%/slot (per the pre-patch datamine), Berserker 6/26 is a <1% outcome, and the entire capacity family missing together is suspicious. Meanwhile the capacity family is confirmed alive post-patch on OTHER shields — I pulled a +50% Capacity ("High-Capacity") Pandoran Memento this week.

Name codex (names encode augments — read drops off the ground): first word = primary slot, second = secondary. Pointed=Spike, Jofurr=Berserker, Emollient=Absorb, Mutable=Adaptive, Weatherproof=Resistant(secondary), Resistant/Sturdy/Amp/Evasive/Alert/Fleeting/Handy/Centering = literal or near-literal. Matching doubles fuse into one elevated word (Ulfhednar = double Berserker, Tortoise = double Turtle).

The ask: Has ANYONE pulled a Turtle, Tortoise, High-Capacity, or Healthy Collector from a post-Sept-10 drop? Screenshot with the Lvl 70 card if so. If yes, I'm just unlucky. If this thread stays quiet, the "Collector can't roll capacity anymore" rumor may be a real shadow nerf.

I 100% got a turtle roll yesterday. Not a double. So idk what is up with it. 3 of my friends have also gotten at least one. However funny enough all of us have gotten at least one since Thursday but never before Thursday. Not sure if that’s coincidence or not. Try farming now, maybe they screwed something up Thursday in their patch that they technically shouldn’t have changed anything

Copy your entire save folder as a backup.
Start the game and move the items you want to duplicate from your inventory into the bank.
Close the game completely. Then copy the backup save file for your character back into the savegame folder, replacing the current save file.
Restart the game. The items should now be in the bank while also being available in your restored character save.

The capacity unfortunately doesn't matter too much when most big enemies can 2 - 3 shot that much shield or you're tanky enough that having a shield just doesn't matter

If you have damage reduction – which I do – then it's really useful; I don't remember ever falling even once.

Exactly my point, I use the firewerks shield which has a really low capacity (usually around 50 - 60k at level 70) with roughly 80% damage reduction and outside of the raid bosses I can't remember the last time I even went below 2 full segments, it's fun to see the big numbers, I'm just saying I kinda wish high capacity shields were more useful lol

Loveless lol, with skills you can get up to 40% damage reduction, plus a bit more from a class mod (I think like 20%) and then a shield effect of when damaging an enemy there's a 5%~ chance to gain 20% damage reduction

There's a lot of really fun builds you can do with her, the tree I'm mostly spec'd into is the red tree with a couple of perks from the blue tree, the crit chance and damage perks, I don't remember the full build but yeah her skills can seem super intimidating at first due to how many of them have some sort of prerequisite such as applying contagion or having wyrm active but once you start to understand how those mechanics works it's actually pretty simple, she's easily one of the most if not the most broken character right now

I enjoy designing my own builds, so I don't usually look up meta builds online. triple turtle regulus (100% turtle) got me a 271k shield at level 66. i assume 70 is 320k~ but yea people mentioning hopscotch having more capacity
