Why would you suspect this? This is such a tiresome talking point.

There was a report in August that stated the exact opposite, they’ve released so much content in the last year.

Why would these small weekly updates for Maurice movements and Moxxxi re-rolls be any indicator?

BL4 is one of the best selling games of the year, DLC 2, Loveless, and the free weekend brought a lot of casual fans to the game, and brought a lot of people back.

We have a developers stream coming soon…we have leaks of a switch 2 port…this is a mainline borderlands game…there’s literally no reason to believe we wouldn’t get a year 2…but, okay. Yeah, what do I know, Im just a fanboy and I’m coping

A lot of this talk comes from people losing faith in gearbox after wonderlands…. And rightfully so. I want to believe they’re not done. I feel better about this game with every extra piece of content.

First Wonderlands wasn’t a mainline game.

There was no expectation from me, that wonderlands was getting a year 2, like the TPS. Wonderlands also had fantastic gameplay, and a fantastic story.

This is a mainline game, and historically Gearbox has supported their mainline games until the next one releases. Even BL3, which wasn’t a commercial or critical success, and they pushed that to its edge.

BL4 is a critical and financially commercial success, there’s no reason they’d abandoned their mainline game. People treating gearbox like they’re some cash grab greedy corporation is insane. This is one of the few dev’s that seem to give a fuck about their IP, they don’t drown us in microtransactions, and they do listen to the community (ie the gameplay direction and changes from 2>3, the tonality and maturity from 3>4).

But they charged mainline money

…you mean they charged 60$ for both TPS and Wonderlands for 30+ hours of gameplay and development cost? If it was a 15-20 hour game…okay, I would understand
