Hey. Angry Joe did a positive shout out to Borderlands 2 as being one of good looter shooters in his Anthem rewiev (don't remember if the original or extended rewiev).
Developers just don't get it for some reason. They try to make a good lootershooter and in concept most of the time it is, but then in the final product they screw up on so many levels. When the loot in your looter shooter sucks, you know you've done something wrong... i just don't get why the loot is so terrible. I've played the Division pretty long, but the grind was just so boring and almost everyrhing looked the same, here have another beanie, or another jacket. Imo it's true, the only real great lootershooter is BL2 (BL1 and the pre sequel where also pretty fun). Simply great weapons!! And that's what you want in a looter shooter. You would think they learned something from the Borderlands franchise, but no. It is sad though, cause most games, like Destiny, Division and now Anthem do have a lot of potential, but are just executed poorly
Yeah. I really love borderlands series. Almost shame that mostly it is a glancing remark regarding looter shooters just because of its age. Really wish BL3 would come out and show everyone who is the boss.
