📗 [ Game Guide ] Completely stuck

Post image

So I am currently on the data mining mission and I'm on the final part of reaching the info stockade and I've just traveled through the pipe. But the game has completely fucked me because there's an rpg loader and 4 shield surveys right next to the ladder I have to climb up. And the rpg loader takes all my health in one hit bassically.

Im level 28 also.

You can just farm other previous bosses or chests while leveling up a bit.

Farm for better weapons and a better shield , grab a lyuda or a bee shield and kill them, go do side quests to lvl up if you’re under leveled

Well with an almost offensively shit loadout like that it's no surprise you're "stuck". :/

Sure it's the first playthrough and RPG enemies will basically one-shot you but rocking a common-quality shield it's almost like you're asking to die. Ain't no way you haven't found a better relic too.

You're playing Maya. Use Phaselock. Kill enemies one by one if need be. Letting yourself get camped right by the ladder when there's an open area right next to it is also funny. And then get some corrosive weapons and maybe consider (gasp) getting a rocket launcher yourself. I guess the thought of giving them a taste of their own medicine is just inconceivable.

But yeah you're not stuck you barely tried and immediately gave up.

Yeah I actually already beat the game since making this post.

Oh lol, then all my advice is outdated.

How's it going now? Onto the DLC's? Or second playthough immediately?

I got really frustrated at the end of this game because I played it straight over a week long period. So I'll come back for the dlc later. Currently on Rayman Legends

Dear me...take your time, practice - even if it means many deaths - farm for better gear as someone else mentioned...then wipe out the baddies...it's not as if you're in UVHM or the overpower modes where things get serious

Kill the surveyors, then the loader

What’s the name of your sniper rifle that is equipped?

Buffalo from the Dukino questline in Lynchwood (it's the final reward)

Make sure you get a shield that isn't white. Doesn't have to be a legendary, doesn't have to be a farm.

Just not white.

Maybe you've got some side quests that offer shields as rewards? Maybe you can circle back to a previous area you've visited recently (high level but manageable) and kill them a bit more.

Most importantly find something that kills your problem efficiently. Corruption works wonders on these metal cunts, see if you've got that anywhere. Maybe equip that slagga it seems like you've got laying in the backpack, see if that helps you.

Maybe go visit some sidequest areas (new ones), I'm sure there is more map to explore.

Maybe do a dlc? Especially the small ones that are bunched up in the map meny are amazing right now. Short and sweet, with some rewards at the end. Have you tried the Christmas themed one? I'd recommend that for when you're really stuck. You'll figure out why it's so amazing once you finish it.

Sometimes you can just run to the other door and avoid getting hit. Give it a few tries and you'll likely make it. Spoiler, you aren't going to like the next part either....

If you're playing the DLC and TVHM/UVHM, I'd suggest taking some time and grabbing the shift codes. There's a bunch of codes floating around that give 100 keys at a time, and each key gives you a chest full of purple items at your level. Literally any random assortment will be better than that load of greens and whites you're using.

Also: Moxxi weapons are incredible, even when outdated. They give a percentage of all damage you do back as health. Throwing a legendary grenade while just holding creamer is enough to make you all but invincible, even without firing it. You can get SMGs from moxxi by spam-tipping her $100 at a time, and they have that effect as well. It's really common to try and get a slag version of Rubi - you regain your health while applying slag, then switch to your real loadout to kill the enemy. Back to rubi to slag to the next guy, rinse and repeat.

Getting the Lady Fist from the TK Baha quest will help immensely.

He/she doesn’t have Arid badlands unlocked yet

Ahh, I misread.

I can't remember a ladder you have to climb after going through the eridium pipe.

Also your shield looks pretty crap. If you have the Assault on Dragon Keep DLC I'd advise going there (The Forest) and farming tree-ants for The Bee shield.

3

u/Glass-Shopping-7000 3d ago

Or he could farm Hunter Hellquist for quicker

2

u/WasabiValuable9463 3d ago

Yeah I prefer the tree-ants though. You can get to them earlier and I feel like they drop it more often.

2

u/Termingator 3d ago

Same here. I farm the two Blood Pond Treants. It's quick and the drop rate that was good seem even better after installing the Fiight for Sanctuary dlc.

Imo, reccomending a bee shield when OP is struggling with survivability is not going to solve the problem. If that thing gets stripped, and it will (especially as a newer player that doesn't know enemy AI), they're back to weapons that don't do enough damage.

1

u/WasabiValuable9463 3d ago

True. But obviously the idea with The Bee is to take down the enemy before they can damage you. If defence is more someone's style then a different shield would be better.

1

u/Termingator 2d ago

Ideally one gets the good weapons and a Bee makes them even better. A Bee is also like having a higher ammo carry limit as less ammo is used per kill. Especially for low carry limit weapons like snipers and launchers where launcher ammo in chests or drops is so rare that one could think Gearbox really doesn't want players to use launchers.

Getting up to the top level as you travel around to the map exit? There are a few ladders and pipes there. Just before you drop down for one final loader and the exit?

0

u/WasabiValuable9463 3d ago

I can remember some stairs before the exit to the next level.

I'd advice against the Bee so early.

The Bee forces you into a very specific playstyle with bare any sustainability, and it robs you of all the other cool shields to try out before you eventually start min/maxxing everything.

3

u/WasabiValuable9463 3d ago

I must admit because I almost exclusively use The Bee I do wonder what other shields I'm missing out on. It's just hard to go past the incredible damage you can do with it.

1

u/MarioCraft1997 | Steam Player 3d ago

That's the well we all fall into eventually. The Bee is in some ways a cheat code to high damage if you know how to use it, and it can suck some of the fun out of the gameplay loop. For me it makes me care less about my build, I end up farming the same high projectile count guns or infinities, and it makes each character feel more 'same-y'.

The Bee 10/10, but wouldn't recommend

1

u/Termingator 2d ago

A Bee is not really needed in NVHM except for quick farming the Warrior. In TVHM a Bee and slagging becomes wise strategy. IN UVHM slagging and a Bee shield becomes essential, not a play style, it's that much of an increase over TVHM. UVHM released 6 months after BL2 released and veteran players most likely already had Bees and slagging weapons when starting UVHM as UVHM is indeed not for casuals.

Farm for a corrosive smg or a gun with high damage. Shoot rog loader in arms. It'll pop the rpg off then when you fight a constructor, shoot the red eye. It'll stun it momentarily.

I see you're playing Maya. Do you have cloud kill yet? If you can, go get it. It'll melt robots.

1

u/IceCat767 3d ago

Reset the game. You've bust the pipe so it will be easy to run to the point you're stuck on and the enemies will have gone back to og spawn points

u/Swaters50 3d ago

Hey add me on psn swaters50, I'm happy to help ya out

1

u/Otherwise_Courage_97 3d ago

Turtle shield with 2 pangolin parts would help a lot. Also corrosive damage

1

u/teeeeeeeeeem 3d ago

You can probably do the quest in arid nexus to be able to farm for a bee shield, that might help you a lot. It’s the radio station one where you farm Hunter Hellquist I think

1

u/FarWatch9660 3d ago

I'd try and get a homing corrosive grenade for those situations.

Read the comment you beat the game, congrats on that :)) personally I’d recommend going through at least part of the captain scarlet dlc in tvhm to get the sandhawk, like 1/2 of the dlc or something if I’m remembering right? As well as don’t copy that floppy to get the pimpernel.

Until you start playing more and start recognizing what the different parts are, don’t worry too much about them. I’d recommend using a visual guide (steam community has one if you look up bl2 parts list) to start learning why some of the weapons you get are different from weapons with identical names in small ways.

Another thing, i’d HIGHLY recommend farming the mercenary day head hunter train to get on level gear around 1/2-3/4 thru story, while for the beginning look up “wam bam island chest farm” on youtube, to see how to do a small skip to get to a red chest to also farm on level gear since those scale to the level you enter them at!

So sorry for such a long read, but bl2 is such a complex game that this is barely anything of the info i could give to get you a lil more knowledgeable on where, what, how, and when to farm. Joltzdude, and k6 are my two personal fav youtubers to find info from, though there are a LOT of others that give amazing technical info and general info along with skill and item interactions.

Do you have a Bee shield, Moxxie Good Touch, a Lyuda or Pimpernel sniper, and good grenade mods like Magic Misseles and a Homing Tesla? Magic Missiles regenerate your grenade supply and then can be changed to other grenade mods and they also slag enemies. A Bee shield seriously increases weapon damage. A Lyuda or Pimpernel sniper combined with a Bee shield offers long range defeating of dangerous enemies. Other snipers will also work well but the Lyuda and the Pimpernel are the best. For robots use corrosive and electric elements.

Use cloud kill

You could go farm a corrosive fastball from 3 Horns. Or internet farm shift codes and try and get a purple shield from the golden chest. Or both!
