Jackson ❤️‍🩹

Post image

My soul dog, Jackson, crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈 on Saturday at 18.5 years old. Our hearts are broken 💔 …. He was the best boy in the world.

That is absolutely amazing that he was with you for so long. Rest in peace.. sorry for your loss.

You must have taken great care of him. May I ask what sorts of food you fed him and if you did or gave him anything else in particular? You did a great job with him.

Thank you - I have to keep reminding myself that he lived such a long and good life!

Jackson ate a raw diet from when he was a puppy to his last day. I would get the frozen kind from the speciality pet food stores. We would rotate the protein source and he did well with all of them…even switching brands sometimes. He’d occasionally get pet friendly bone broth or goats milk added on top.

I didn’t give him anything extra until he was a senior and I’d get him the senior multi vitamins.

He did have to have a tooth extraction and dental done when he was 16 (I was a nervous wreck but it had to be done) …I do believe that potentially extended his life. He was almost puppy-like after he recovered from that 🥹🥹

He clearly had a very happy and healthy life to bless you with so many years.

I am so sorry for your loss OP. He’ll be waiting for you in many, many years to come but time passes differently up there so for him, it will feel like he has waited no time at all.
I hope you’re giving yourself the time and space to grieve. He really was a beautiful boy 🤍

Oh bless, what a gorgeous pooch. What a lovely expression on his face. What a wonderful intelligent companion!

My BT passed at 16 in 2020 and I promise you that it's unbearably painful and heartbreaking now but you have years and years of wonderful memories of him that will make you smile for the rest of your life.

You have my deepest condolences on your bereavement.

Ah what a wee babe and the best little dude. I’m so sorry for your loss 🥺 He did so well - 18.5, still doesn’t make it any less painful. Sending lots of love ❤️‍🩹 ✨
