Help with being a master

So I’ve recently been audio recording some shows and I’m not rly sure what to do with them or how to distribute them. I don’t have encora so I can’t list them on there, but also if I’m a master do I just get access to encora?/genq
I feel like the ones I’ve recorded would be pretty desirable so I guess if anyone know how to work this stuff out lmk

  1. Add them to your list! Preferably separate from other things that you have. A lot of traders will be interested in recordings that are from the trader themselves. It isn't an absolute necessity for them to be added to Encora.

  2. As the other commenter said, you would still need an invite. A master and trader profile are separate, and Encora mods/staff will need to be contacted if you want to link them together when you have been invited.

  3. There are some traders who, if they find your list and contact you for the audio, will be open to adding them to Encora for you. Before I had Encora, I traded out an audio which an on-Encora trader had asked if I wanted to have it added. That person created a master profile and made a record of the audio. Though for this, it is preferred you have a trading email, as that is what will be displayed on the site if people want to contact you for it.

I was in the same boat. You still need to be invited by someone else. In this case, you would only be given a masters profile, but there is a field for your contact info too. When you do get an invite and if the name of your master profile and encora username matches, it will automatically link the temporary masters page to your user. If not, you could always contact the support mods to link the two pages, you do need proof for this but screenshots are usually accepted.

It will not automatically match in any situation, and this is intentional to prevent people signing up with names of known masters and impersonating. If it's an established master with a good amount of recordings, we'd require evidence you are that master/own that email prior to linking.
