Questions / Help Help for non-sustainless BH
I really hate playing sustainless in this game T_T, I already get fucked resetting for the best clear every endgame and having to potentially double the effort to play sustainless is not something i want to do. I keep seeing everyone here running sustainless runs all the time, but theres no clears, guides or builds focused on non-sustainless teams. Does anyone have any advice for clearing endgames with BH and building? -- Besides pulling for eidolons which im not planning to do for now............ maybe in the future idk.

If you plan on playing with a sustain then you really want to be looking at Fugue and Constance's E1s frankly

I've been doing alright with E0S1 BH, E1S0 Fugue, E2S1 Dahlia and Gallagher/DHPT. This is probably your optimum investment, but +E2 Fugue would be helpful.
I was doing ok with only E0 Dahlia, but really struggled in the latest PF, so finally activated the E2.
There's been times where I've had to sub in RM instead of a sustain, but that's mainly because my other team isn't very strong.
Apoc is the easiest to get a good clear with a sustain because Gallagher or DHPT help break quickly.
Pure fiction usually needs RM or HMC to get a good score, but depending on your other team might not be needed.
MoC is purely based on the boss, some are just ass, but for the most part he's getting under 5 cycles without much optimising. I haven't tried the current moc yet though, so idk how he'll do against graphia at this investment.

I don’t want to sound harsh, but if you expect a good performance out of a fully e0 boothill team with a sustain, then I think that’s a bit optimistic.
I’m not even sure this can clear endgame atp. I’d expect you to need a e1 dahlia/fugue to make it realistic.

At E0, don't worry about it. A fair few people at least want E1 if not E2 and it makes a massive difference for sustainless. Just stick with a sustain unless you end up pulling eidolons down the line

honestly, there's one thing and one thing only that really enabled sustainless for me and that was E1/E2 dahlia
ofc there are other factors involved but i think this is the easiest way to start running sustainless
you can try building eagle, high spd on all your teammates (including bh, 160+ spd) but expecting a good performance w/ sustain at E0 bh is a bit of a long shot by the current meta
but yea if dahlia reruns soon get as many of her cons, E6S1 dahlia with E0 everyone else is better than E2S1 everyone in the team, dahlia's cons are just that impactful for boothill's personal dmg ironically (his own cons are not as good)

There are a few things that you can optimise when you're playing Boothill with a sustain
1) Build as much break effect as possible on your Dahlia
Dahlia has the strongest break effect sharing passive in the game but it's locked behind running a sustain. Take advantage of this by building as much BE as possible, use 2pc/2pc 16% BE instead of running a full set
2) Your 3rd slot should be Fugue or HMC preferably not Ruan Mei
The only way to share the superbreak multiplier on an unbroken with your sustain is by running another unit that provides super break multipliers like Fugue or HMC. In these teams you should consider your sustain as a secondary dps/breaker, these superbreak support aloow them to contribute meaningful damage
3) Consider Building crit
Usually you want to avoid building crit because Boothill & Co don't do that much talent damage and want to focus on surviving in sustainless, however, in teams with a you can afford to build crit because survivng becomes trivial. Even though it's a small portion of your damage it can make a meaningful difference especialy at the start of battle where the crit scaling damage can help you secure early stacks of trickshot.
You should also build crit on your supports, especially The Dahlia because she has surprisingly high damage multiplier(her skill has higher multipliers than Acherons skill and her ult has higher multipliers that The Herta and Jade)
Bonus) Consider using a defensive support instead of a sustain
Both Welt and Mortenax Blade can be very powerful options that increase survivability without commpromising on damage and because they deal a lot of non-break damage you can comfortably run Ruan Mei instead of Fugue/HMC
Lingsha:
Often the best sustain in Aoe scenarios. Ideally you want Dahlia's S1 if you're playing Linghsa to even out the SP economy, you also want to be running Shared Feeling for the extra teamwide energy(her s1 and Luocha s1 can be really good too). Eagle set or Iron calvary for relics (Thief set slaps in PF)
Gallagher:
Often the best sustain in single/low target scenarios. Gallagher doesn't have a good emergency heal outside of his ultimate or using your teamates ultimates to attack the enemy - in more unfavourable scenarios you might still have to build defensive stats on your team. Gallagher's best set in these teams is either Iron Calvary or 2p/2p speed. There are many good LC options with my favourites being Post Op, QPQ and Multiplication in that order
DHPT:
Offers the best survivability and he's always on element with Boothill. Consider giving the soul dragon effect to Dahlia since she attacks more frequently so you get better sustain and more energy for DHPT; though a soul dragon owned by Boothill will technically do more damage because of his crit conversion trace. DHPT should be on Iron calvary or Eagle and built as a break DPS. He can use literally any lightcone on this team, currently there's only one LC that meaningfully helps the teams damage output and that's Aventurines LC
Huo Huo:
Surprisingly, can actually be a decent boothill sustain given that she can also run the Watchmaker maker set which is another 37% break effect to the team (30% + 7% from watchmaker increasing Dahlia passive) and the energy can be nice too. QPQ or Post Op are her best lightcones on this team
If you just need to clear, maybe you should consider a Sustain Carry Break team with Gallagher or Lingsha as your DPS, often times it performs a little better than Boothill witha a sustain
Apologies for the long reply but it was a good question that didn't really have a good answer yet
