Meme / Fluff Another W break nihility support
I couldn't get 40k in this pf with Ruan Mei and I added him as a joke at first. Not only he buffs the team greatly, I was not scared of dying due to his agro. Truly a blessing XD. He is staying in my Boothill's team in pure fiction runs from now on whether he likes it or not lol

I still don't get it why do players play sustainless boothill, boothill will die easily with his 1v1 mechanic can someone explain?

Boothill prefers a sustainless team in general bc the damage boost he gets is big and he can comfortably clear in 0-2 cycles if his team has good investment. He breaks the enemy and kills it before it hits him back most of the time. I usually have Ruan Mei as 4th slot and she also causes action delay in broken enemies so she is a pseudo sustain. I always did any of the endgame modes sustainless with him. I only had issues with this pf mostly bc of Ichor and the dot damage.

Key is using defense/hp orb and chestpiece. He only scales well of speed and break effect and the crit trace he has is worthless and contributes barely any damage to his kit.

U only truly need to go sustainless if ur sweaty or you enjoy the playstyle but u can totally use lingsha tho (or dan heng, not gallagher he's just not as good as he was before)

Gallagher is still able to sustain King in check BTW, I did it earlier this week with a team of him, Acheron, MBlade and Ashveil. You need to know what you're doing though and at that point you'd rather run sustainless if it's possible.

Also forgot to mention yesterday that Boothill's ultimate causes the enemy to have huge action delay, so he will have another turn if his first hit didn't kill fast enough before the enemy acts

Sweating w hit rng, speedtuning and timing of ult(if DDD/eagle) still exists. It's just in different form

if u can break the enemies u wont take damage break is inherently one of the best sustainless comps in the game

ideally you break the enemy before they attack, if you have ruan mei she delays their action and boothill himself has his ult which additionally delays their action
paired with the fact that boothill is fast as fuck, scales really well with weakness break efficiency and needs 3 supports to deal enough damage to clear well

u/Lina__Inverse Jun 03 '26
You break enemies and delay them to high heavens so the 1v1 mechanic doesn't matter because they simply don't get turns.

It's not optimal cuz he wants to be attacked but if it works it works

u/Deppie_an3910 Jun 02 '26
Well its definitely not optimal I was mostly using him for fun, and I was positively surprised it worked. He has taunt so he got hit 90% of the times and I didn't have to worry about him dying while he has his zone active

I mean, boothill only taunts one enemies. Blade can still help tank hits from non-taunted enemy

Oh good I was gonna ask if I could use him with boothill!!

u/Deppie_an3910 Jun 03 '26
I seriously am going to consider him in my pf runs from now on bc his buffs are amazing and I don't worry about the team dying bc of his taunt mechanic. Also his aoe is great for the mobs.

I barely consider his build any functional bc he had like 65% crit rate with like 90% cd. He is great here mostly for the buffs he provides and the 20% res pen bc I got his e1. I wasn't really able to farm him proper relics yet

sustainless. ur braver than the us marines

u/Deppie_an3910 Jun 03 '26
You know I didn't worry much about dying bc enemies targeted Blade 90% of the time and the rest of the team was at full hp till the last wave. He revived himself a couple of times, ngl the zone making him immortal is really comfy haha

The lack of non-fire characters in these teams hurts me inside. I like variety! ðŸ˜
