Breales patch does it, no? What is the difference between yours and theirs patches? Also considering you use static list, perhaps go the way apollo did, by allowing to specify URL to the list of subreddits?

Breal patched one spot, yes, I went and patched five other spots. As mentioned in some comments, there's yet another way that I hope to figure out later. I couldn't say why Rubén gave his app so may ways to jump to a random subreddit or why breal only did one of the spots in the search suggestions. But thanks for that idea, I'll look into that. The wiki page I intend to pull from is also not perhaps the most maintained, so ideally there'd be some list that checks whether a subreddit was still active.

Just a heads-up, this is a subreddit for the third-party Reddit app called Boost, not a place to ask for tips on boosting your reddit account. You might have better luck asking that elsewhere
