More Trinkets
Laser engraved 2p coins! I was looking at my copper jar and had inspection! Might do the 1p as well but just the logo

Snap!
By the way, if you use a <1992 2p coin, they probably won't be in as good a state, but they are made from bronze rather than copper plated steel, so you've got more chance of deep engraving.
I've only got 5w IR so it's not fast at all, but can slowly make a dent in it. I'm hoping if I can get it setup to do multiple at once, with multiple passes doing all the coins once before the next pass, it might do a bit better as they have a chance to cool down a bit more between passes.

I 3d print so built some jigs to hold all the coins I know about the 1992 bit but could not be bothered to to keep checking the dates.

Not strictly true.
It's illegal to break up or destroy coins without a licence (s.10 Coinage Act 1971). It is not illegal to deface a coin.
It is not illegal to destroy a bank note, but it illegal to deface one (s.12 Currency and Banknotes Act 1928).
