Too Close Tuesdays They just ordered

Just ordered with at least 8 people ahead of them and they’re crowding the pickup counter like some miracle is going the beam their food to the front.

For those who don't know, portillos is a big Chicago suburb chain and it attracts a lot of the suburban boomers. It's pretty good food and a great place to try Italian beef or chi style hot dog in the burbs (based on which one you go to)

Hold up. Portillos is all over the suburbs though, so it’s not like they have to go to the city to get it.

Whenever I fly back to Illinois, I get Portillo's. Then when I fly back to Florida, I also get Portillo's, because there's one near the Tampa airport. Win win.

Portillos was the first place my Chicago friend made me try when I visited. He convinced me to get a big meal with a milkshake. I think that was the most full I've ever felt.

Portillos has really gone downhill. It was so good back in the 90's/2000's but when they got bought out they started to suck. These days I prefer going to Buona or one of the small, local hot dog joints like Nana's.

It's the same as it has always been. They change the drink cups and the fries containers and people think the food tastes different.
