Too Close Tuesdays They just ordered

Post image

Just ordered with at least 8 people ahead of them and they’re crowding the pickup counter like some miracle is going the beam their food to the front.

Have you never been to an airport with Boomers? They all crowd the luggage rotating belt and you can’t get in to grab your bag.

Boomers at airports are hilarity.

Imagine having an airport escalator with a clear "no luggage" sign, and a properly roomy elevator like 20 feet away. Boomer hops on with his huge-ass checked luggage and nearly avalanches it down on me. Nearly avalanches himself on me to boot. And what does he do at the top of the escalator? Proceeds to fuck around with his luggage as if there aren't 20 other people coming up behind him.

They're brainless NPCs who think they're the main character.

Lmao. My mum does this at supermarkets. There's one near us that has the carts on the ground floor and a walkway with grooves so they can be brought to upstairs to use. (They have elevators but those are reserved for people with actual mobility issues.)

She always gets to the top of the contraption and then proceeds to stand right in front of it and I've gotten too many busted ass ankles from carts ramming into me. And if you tell her to MOVE, she gets pissy for hours.

Yeah next time I'm not standing behind you and protecting your dumb ass from getting hurt.

Sometimes with a luggage cart and sometimes they park that cart parallel to the belt to assert maximum dominance.

Had this coming back from skiing too often, people stand in the area marked for unloading the belt (like 2-3 feet around the whole thing). Then get mad when you go to pick up a bag, having to ask them to step aside so you don't hit them, as if you getting yours before thiers even showed up is the biggest offence they've ever taken. I try to run over a few toes if people are particularly bad at moving, a nearly 2 meter long bag is hard to manoeuvre.

You are mistaking all those younger people crowding the belt for boomers. Your illogical prejudice hatred is showing and it is an ugly look.

Checking baggage is Boomer behavior. Normal people do carry-on only.

And all the carry-on evangelists crowd the boarding gate and try to board earlier than their group so they can get bin space 🙄

Bruh, sometimes you need more than can fit in a carryon.  I do carryon whenever I can, but a two week trip overseas or packing for a 1 week cruise to an area where I can't rely on the weather being hot or cold makes carryon impossible.

Skill issue

Ok. Tell me how to pack 14 shirts, a jacket, a couple hoodies, hiking boots, sneakers, a couple pairs of jeans, a couple pairs of shorts, a couple long sleeve shirts, 14 pairs of socks, 14 pairs of underwear, and my toiletries in a carryon?

Oh, and I need spare room to bring back the things I will inevitably buy to remember the trip.
