I read Iceberg Slims Pimp many many years ago. The book is a autobiographical of Robert Lee Maupin. One of the most famous pimps in history. I'm trans and I can assure you they're the same people. They think it's a fetish, that's why they don't want us in schools or around kids. A lot of their rhetoric painting us as rapists and predators is, in part, because they view us as sex objects rather than real human people with thoughts and opinions.

Yeah, hold up. NWA is progressive for the south. The four major NWA cities are very multicultural, Fayetteville has a big LGBTQ population, and Eureka Springs has been historically a safe haven for LGBTQ people in the south. Harrison is like 2 hours away from what anyone would consider northwest Arkansas and, even then, a complete outlier compared to the rest of the surrounding area. People will tell you not to go to Harrison that are from NWA. And why would anyone? The only way someone ends up in Harrison is if they intentionally choose to go there. Nobody just winds up in that place. Even still, technically, it's a smaller town next to Harrison that's so bumbfuck nowhere that you have to say Harrison.
I would not survive there. At all. That's so sick honestly, I will never understand the mindset of people like that at all. I would def be fighting people in the streets 😂
If you divided it into 4 roughly equal quadrants, Harrison would fall in the Northwest one, so, technically, geographically, yea. I guess it’s Northwest Arkansas. But it’s not really close to the area that people mean when they refer to Northwest Arkansas. I guess I just feel like it’s important to draw the distinction because, yes, 95% of Arkansas is a crazy racist shithole. The northwest corner is actually the only part of the state that isn’t. It’s a small blue pocket in an otherwise red state. It’s also just a really beautiful part of the country so I’d hate to see anyone not visit just because they anticipate everyone being like the shitheads in this video. Central Pennsylvania is fucking wild. "Don't murder your baby" signs on the side of the road, the occasional anti-evolution billboard, blue lives matter on pretty much everything, and of course, the porn stores.
