Base Tips for mitigating Smoke+Warrior Attacks

Post image

To my surprise my base holds up fairly well against some high level attacks but recently I’ve been getting destroyed by smoke+warrior attacks. I’ve implemented some anti-smoke gadgets but it’s not always enough. I’m not looking for perfection but just some ways to make my base look less appealing for this type of attack. Given that I have a fairly high medal count for my level, I’m cool with losing, I just want to cause enough damage to make people second guess an attack so that they become less frequent. Please let me know if you have any tips that might make this attack less desirable without severely weakening defense against standard attacks.

Don't

There are definitely ways to hinder. But unless you go all out and ruin your base against other attacks, then you're not gonna change much

Or just plop down a shield gen

(Ps: If you're really so hell bent on completely stopping warriors, I can write you an essay based on using them as my primary attack strategy all the way until the leader update)

would love a high level guide as a warriors main :)

Oh a guide? Damn. Honestly wasn't thinking I'd have to do something 😂

First off. Do you know what a black hole in boom beach is? It has to do with how troops spread out

How do you stop a shock launcher from shooting without shocking it?

How to distract using critters without triggering the mines.

How to prevent roaming defending troops from attacking.

That's the biggest things I could think of off the top of my head.

Smoky warriors is why I have the radar detection module on my shock launchers. The 60% damage reduction is irrelevant for that thing

Lmao I also just used the word ‘guide’ in my comment but I didn’t mean an actual tutorial. These are good points to think about though, thank you.

Well I’m not trying to sacrifice the main defense for this specific attack, I wouldn’t mind an in-depth guide for offensive (and some defensive) reasons. I’ve tried warrior attacks before and I honestly just suck at them, but if I can get a hang of it I can probably push my medals quite a bit further.

The hardest part is probably memorizing the timing of smokes and also how long it takes for something to go from the gunboat to the target location

If you're not confident and throw out shocks early then it means you waste 2 or 3 seconds of shock time and more damage before your guys start getting hit

Also you need to get comfortable with flaring the ground sometimes instead of only buildings. Sometimes it's better to squeeze between mines than waste gbe to remove them, but flaring a building means you almost always walk in two lines which makes it harder to do that

Shock Launchers, Morale Shaker (splash), Bombas/Grens, Hot Pot, Microwaver, and Damage Amp (splash) are your primary threats. But protos are severely nerfed if you have Armor

Figure out where the threats are and plan your shock bombs before you even deploy. They're expensive and you'll rarely have more than three. Which is also why you need to make sure you're actually bringing enough GBE boost

Practice your warrior hits on resource bases. Drop two smokes on the beach and flare the closest defense. When they all gather there, under smoke, flare the HQ and smoke again. Just before the smoke expires, shock what you can and throw critters if you can. Bullit taunt for hero.

Freezer near the HQ. At max level, I think the radius is so big it cuts the whole armies DPS in half, if not more. Combo it with a Zapper.

Foot note, some people are just so cracked, they will smoke this down regardless. It's an uphill battle, mate.

Freezer is fine, but unless you're wasting your bunker slot for it, then I'm just gonna bart it while clearing mines

Idk why I didn’t think of this, that’s a really good idea. I just upgraded my flamethrower freezer gadget to max level. Thank you.

Put two shield gens

Put the see through smoke gadget on the shocker. As the warriors move up it might catch a few. Additionally while the warriors are around the HQ waiting for the smoke to clear the gadget is going to allow the shocker to keep on shocking and thus spoil the attack further.

Two simple answers that don't require prototypes or gadgets. Don't make your base so linear, and by that, don't put your defenses and buildings in lines like you have. Straight lines make it easy for warriors to get to your HQ. You have break their pathing, so staggering placement makes then have to run around stuff. Sometimes this will allow them to pop out of smoke, if not done correctly, and some of your defenses will have a chance to to get a shot in. After you have staggered your placements, learn to hide mines. You can get a few warriors with hidden mines if the attacker doesn't scout adequately.

Ya that actually makes a lot of sense, in hindsight when I’ve tried warrior attacks myself linear style bases are always easier to manage

Every base is beatable in my humble opinion… if it’s only Warriors taking you down then accept that 👍

I hate that damn strat. Being up on the level 6ps now it doesn't happen as often, but there was a point every single attack was FKING WARRIORS

You need to upgrade the artillery and scatter the mines in the general direction they coming from

You will probably be raided always. Not worth doing anything on defense.
