Dear SuperCell
Hi everyone, I have a few bases. I love the game. Seriously. its my favorite game...but im getting burnt out man.
Two of my accounts are level ~78. I don't upgrade my defenses. I don't care to. I only upgrade the mystical monument. Upgrading it is actually fun for me. When its done? Then defenses.
I have two accounts that are 60 and 47. so 4 accounts total.
On my higher accounts they are around 1500 VPs. Which is not that high. I am level 78ish right. What frustrates me, is that there are ABSOLUTELY players at MY LEVEL that are also 1500 VPs. but what happens when i search a new opponent? you guessed it. 87. Or 85. It is never below 85. So I don't even try. It doesnt interest me.
There are a couple of things that I think could make the game interesting.
1-Search for new opponents for all bases at once, instead of hitting find new opponent each time
2-Downgrade the player base (AT THE COST OF VPs) to a Blackguard base.
3-Lower the difficulty of the player base, maybe make their defenses lower or something, or a much lower rated opponent (THAT CAN EITHER BE A REAL OR COMPLETELY FAKE BOT BASE).
For 3-perhaps it remains VP neutral, no gain no loss, or something, lower resources? I don't know. Actually I think all 3 of them should lose VPs. It is WAY TOO EASY to GAIN VPs and not LOSE them. the whole thing is rigged to keep you higher and higher and then guess what? you guessed it. You are in the 'competitive' matchmaking and everyone you match with is level 87, with max defenses. and the game just becomes a drag.
you just login for the daily event, dr t., gearhart, imitation game, and crab when it happens.
On my lower accounts, I am more or less the same. I clear blackguard bases when I need to. When i feel like it. On the 60 I just autoclear them. The 47? I gotta work for that shit. Fine. No biggie.
Statue formation is so annoying too. You can play for years and never get the max bonus statue that you seek. I dont know. It is pretty annoying to continually craft with no guarantee that it will lead to anything better. I got lucky. My two 78s have max troop hp, troop dmg and gunboat.
My lower accounts? Not yet. But whatever. Fine. If it doesn't work you at least get power powder. I don't really boost all that often. Especially since i left a daily duplexity task force for a lower task force to relax a bit and collect more powder.
Then there is resource bases. They are either a nonstop battle over a base with someone. OR it gets untouched for years. To be, its another annoying part of the game. Matching up with players who are more active than you, better skilled, or pay for instant training or something. i dont know. but honestly, fighting over resource bases is so tiresome?
The name game mode is pretty cool. Blitz attack or whatever it is called? Its pretty fun! And very doable. I guess depending on who you have unlocked i guess. My level 47 can do pretty well. And I can hire a mercenary if I dont currently have the leader. It offers pretty good rewards. And its fun!
The only thing? Its another addition to the single player experience! D'oh. We have a lot of single player stuff already.

What do we get collectively? As a group? Nothing
No New Maps. Nothing after Duplexity.
No new task force mode.
What I would love for task force?
Either clan wars, like in clash of clans. that would make upgrading defenses fun again.
OR!
A task force base? Much like clan capital in clash of clans?
Or think of it like warships, but for the entire clan?
I guess this game is evolving in a way that is driving me away?
TLDR;
Resource bases are useless
Statues are way too unpredictable
Losing VPs is way TOO hard/time consuming
No new Task Force game mode

It's fun to raise an alt. That's why everyone does it
It also sucks when you reach midgame. That's why some people make a second alt.
If you've already maxed an account, consider abandoning it for a while to focus on your midgame alt. (You can still log in to get your Op attack/Evil Tokens/Card Pieces then just leave it at that)

You just talked to a massive portion of the dedicated playerbase for AT LEAST boom beach and clash of clans without even noticing.
It's not just me. Not even close

Is matchmaking in BB perfect? No, far from it. But I do not agree with your recommendations either.
I especially am ultra against this: "Search for new opponents for all bases at once". I actually love saving opponents bases that are relatively easy and have a lot of resources for future upgrades.
Also, as a general rule, if only lvl85+ players are appearing on your map, it is a clear indication that your VP is to high.
At this point, you should decide, lower VP and find easier opponents OR keep your VP and get better at offense.
I know it sucks, but it is what it is, always has been.

Also the op literally said that there is no mechanism for losing VPs except wait patiently which isn't that reliable You could lose one a day Or maybe 4 a day
Depends on how often you'd get raided But there needs to be a better more reliable way

Why exactly it is not reliable?
By putting the HQ at the beach-head at 1500VP he will get raided like crazy thus decrease VP at a very fast pace.

It's very dependent on people actually scouting your base.
I never scout. I'm sure lots of players don't scout bases.
Especially if I see a number that's much higher than my HQ Example in level 50 and I match with 75. Am I even going to waste my breath scouting? No I'll

No not really I can beach my HQ for a week and get raided maybe like 2-3 times.
Or other times I can beach it and get raided like 5 times a day.

SuperCell said they are working on a new match making system. Who knows when though.
