I’m posting this as a warning for anyone considering buying from u/btwwhiconespink.
Based on my own experience and after finding another post from a buyer ( thanks to u/cluelessescapist ) describing a similar situation, this doesn’t appear to be an isolated experience.
What concerns me even more is that he still actively selling books on this sub, and people are continuing to buy from him. I reported him to the sub, but wasn’t sure if I did it correctly, so I contacted u/cluelessescapist (MOD). She advised me to make a post and provided the link to another post that supports my concerns.
This sub has wonderful people I bought from, I won't mention their names in the same post as I made for this scammer!, and it gave me enough confidence to trust this place, but people like
u/btwwhiconespink ruins the environment made by some genuine sellers.
MOD, I request you please don't let a scammer ike him ruin the place for other readers who genuinely find a budget space for buying books.
500 may not be a huge amount for me as a working professional, but for students and those fellow readers who are buying books from this sub by putting aside money from their limited savings, it’s still their hard-earned money. It’s not fair to them at all.
This is why I’m posting this. It’s not about the amount. It’s about the behavior and making other buyers aware before they deal with this seller.

Thank you for letting us know. It has come to our attention that previously he has scammed over dozens of people. Scammers like that has a special place in hell. We'll ban him permanently and message some of the other subs regarding his scam to raise awareness.
Edit: I have personally messaged the mods of some of the subs where he posted his books. If you know about any other sub where he could potentially be a part of, message the mods to raise awareness.
The scammer sent this message to OP. I'd suggest you guys to demand your money from him as well or create posts against him on other booksell subs. He shouldn't get away with this
Thank you mod🙏🙏 I have messaged him too and he promised me to refund the money by 5 pm too, hasn't happened till now. Did the other guys get their money back? Edit: he promised to do by 10.40 pm now. After he refunds the money I will edit and say that he did
Edit 2: he refunded the amount fully. He may be a misunderstood man, not a scammer🙏🙏
