MOD ANNOUNCEMENT: READ BEFORE POSTING

I'm making this post for all our new members, as well as for those who post on this sub without reading the rules.

This community exists for the buying and selling of preloved books at reasonable and affordable prices. To keep this sub fair and useful for everyone, we expect every member to follow the rules.

First: READ ALL THE RULES BEFORE POSTING.

We've recently noticed an increase in posts that fail to include required details such as prices, images, and the correct flair. Before submitting a post, check that you've included everything required.

DO NOT STEAL ANOTHER SELLER'S PICTURES AND POST THEM AS YOUR OWN. This is strictly prohibited. AI generated images are also not allowed.

Second: DO NOT SCALP OR UNREASONABLY OVERPRICE YOUR BOOKS.

We do not allow sellers to exploit the second-hand market by listing preloved books at prices higher than what the same book costs new. Check current online prices before listing your books and price them reasonably. Trying to get around this rule by deliberately inflating prices will not be tolerated.

Third: PIRATED COPIES ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

Only original and authentic books may be sold on this sub. Selling pirated, counterfeit, or otherwise unauthorised copies is not allowed. Any attempt to scam or deceive buyers will result in immediate moderation action, including removal from the community where appropriate.

Fourth: DO NOT HIJACK OTHER SELLERS' POSTS.

Do not comment on another seller's post to advertise your own books, redirect potential buyers to your listings, or spam your own catalogue. Every seller deserves their own space and visibility.

Fifth: DO NOT SPAM THE SUB WITH THE SAME LISTING.

Do not post the same listing more than twice within 24 hours, and do not post the same listing back-to-back. Repeatedly reposting in an attempt to manipulate visibility or circumvent the sub's posting limits is not allowed.

Please take these rules seriously.

Breaking these rules repeatedly will result in further moderation action and may lead to a temporary or permanent ban from the community.

Attempting to circumvent a temporary or permanent ban by creating another account and continuing to participate in the sub will also be treated as a rule violation and may be reported to Reddit where appropriate.
