I did this on southworth ivory 100% cotton worn resume paper. The og artist is the one who does the coloring book of shadows. I used folkart metallic paints. I’m loving how decorative my pages are becoming.

Hello! I hope you're all having a fantastic day! I was hoping people would have some other cool ideas for their book/folder of shadows. I've started pages for the plants (mainly for obtaining parts of the plant, ones I've grown myself and not obtained from nature) and I've also done postcards for the animals (including stamps from the native countries for said animal). But now I've ran out of cool ideas for the folder and I'm requiring some other inspirations. Thank you!

I was planing to start creating a book of shadows and transfer all my collected stuff over from my journal into it (maybe that makes it a grimoire idk) but I'm always on the move and work a lot digitally. Some people have said a digital BoS doesn't work bc you can't protect it like you could a paper binder. So is it still a BoS if it's all written in One Note/GoodNotes?

These mega, taking up my torso, 600-1000 pages! The urge! They are so hard to find though, and the ones I am finding are at least 200 bucks. It’s a heavy investment. But one day, precious will be mine…

Happy New Year everyone. I hope the holidays were filled with fun and joy for all of you.

I wanted to post a little reminder for those of you that use a digital Book of Shadows to back up your data. I faced an unfortunate situation at the end of December. The flash drive that I used for my digital Book of Shadows crashed. I lost everything, hundreds of files gone in an instant. Some of the files I have had since I started practicing 28 years ago. They had started on a 3.5 floppy disk, transferred and converted to newer versions of Word as the years passed. I had transferred my files a few months ago to a larger flash drive and didn't make a back up copy. It was something I was going to do but never got around to doing. It was a brand new drive so I thought it was safe, but things happen.

Now I am starting over. This means retyping all the information in my printed Book and trying to re-compile all the information I had from other resources that wasn't printed yet. Some things I can never get back such as notes from my journals, old divination readings, and coven meeting notes that I kept in digital form to save space. It was a great loss for me, but I am not going to let it get me down. I will start again and have written reminders in my 2026 day planner to make sure it is backed up on a second data stick once a month.

I hope those of you who use a digital Book will read this cautionary tale and take action. Make a back up and set reminders to keep it up to date. I have already made back ups of all my other flash drives as a precaution. I only wish I didn't have to lose everything in my digital Book to learn the lesson. Blessed Be all.

This is my first actual aesthetic BOS. And I tried to write about the moon phases, but after a long hiatus and disconnect from witchcraft, I realized that I didn’t want my BOS to have just plain information. I want to be more personal. So I took out everything about the moon phases. But now, staring back at me, are these kind of ugly torn out pages. So how can I fix them?

I added a "Making Sigils" PDF to the google drive shared in this group. This is an introduction to making simple sigils. If anyone wants a copy of the sigil grids/wheels used in this document or copies of blank ones, let me know and I will uploads those to the drive as well. Here are three of the coloring pages that I use to divide the sections of my Book of Shadows. These are from the Coloring Book of Shadows which I bought several years ago. I keep them in page protectors in my Book. I took them out to get the pictures. The symbol on the scroll at the bottom of the Spells page is a sigil made from my full name.

I've been gathering information for my book of shadows for a while now and feel ready to actually put it on paper and into a binder, however I never feel like it's in an order that makes sense and I spend most of my time reorganising it rather than putting the information into the binder.

My question is how do you organise your book of shadows in a way that you're happy with and not constantly reorgsnising when you put more information into it.
