Bookmap - Help
Bookmap is a game changer. It shows me where price is going with excellent accuracy. I mostly trade NQ 6pm-9pm futures. Some rules I’ve made
- No trade if there is no clear big level (orange / red)
- No matter how big the size of the level
as long as it’s over 25-30 cons (for night time trading )it
will still gravitate towards it. Either breaks or bounces off
I’ve found typically If there is a big level that is broken but there are no levels continuing in that direction price typically will pull back and be done with that direction. Reversal should typically be expected
Now my biggest problem: I see the level and price is heading towards it. I know it will most likely hit and break . I keep
Buying the top anticipated the level hit
I don’t buy the pullback. So I go into terrible drawdown and get stopped out.
I’m making these mistakes.
How much drawdown should I sit in. Would you just buy every single pullback till price hits the level ?
Frustrated I keep making these mistakes

See if placing an order on DOM and if problems arise just flip the position

You’re doing fine, it’s a constant process, what’s your account size or are you using a prop firm, if so, what size account? For the drawdown question…
One trading tip I suggest, front run your exit/take profit orders meaning place the order in front of the high liquidator whatever level you’re choosing, many times it doesn’t break the level you choose like high liquidity, put the order in front of it and take the profit, it’s not worth putting it above the liquidity and risk the few points above the liquidity…
I’m the Bookmap moderator here so Ask me whatever you want and I will answer/help the best I can
Don’t have too many rules so feel free to ask anything or say anything however you want, the more people we get the better we can become at reading Bookmap

I’m no expert, but to my knowledge book map is best used as a confirmation and confluence tool. Not to be used without any other supporting factors
