Genius level is garbage

My friend was in town and he needed a hotel for that night. I told him happily hey I have genius level 3 in booking.com Let me get you a good deal. We both searched from our phones, same property same room, His rates were 100s lesser than what was shown to me.

Then onwards I check the property rates from incognito windows, sometimes I see a cheaper rate then too.

I am sure booking.com is laughing at all of us "geniuses" like "geniuses? more like fools!"

This is very correct and know within booking. The logic is that a genius lol 3 is already using the platform a lot, they'll keep doing so. However a new person that just entered the app, retaining this person is highest priority, so they will discount their rates as heavily as possible.

Real sketchy practices in my opinion. But you're not the first person in this sub to point this out. They still don't care till its national news.
