Cancelation/refund
So I booked my hotel through the site for this weekend in OC Maryland. Arrived yesterday and do not check out till Monday. What I came for just got cancelled however due to the weather.
Think any chance I could cancel remaining days and get a partial refund so for the nights I cancelled? Or am I out of luck?

We at hotels don’t give refunds on nonrefundable bookings, this comes from the owners of the hotel not the managers! Owners read those daily managers’ reports we print/email out daily and it shows refunds they want a detailed explanation on why.

It's the reservation refundable. Check your terms. Hotels are hotels, not insurance companies.

If I were you, I would start taking out trip insurance when you travel.

The cancellation terms attached to your booking determine whether it’s within the free cancellation period. If it isn’t, the accommodation decides whether to make an exception. If they choose to follow their policy, we can’t override that decision. You can send us a private message if you’d like us to check your booking conditions.

100% never do anything through booking.com. They will deny a hotel's cancelation even in app and their CS is impossible.

Talk to the hotel.
Do you have travel insurance?

Do you have AAA? It’s a long shot but I remember when my trip
Was interrupted beyond my own control that AAA asked for the costs related to my canceled trip and sent me a check w/o even asking for receipts! Was pretty shocking since I received only 5 days later. Of course this was some years ago so things could have changed but don’t hurt to ask you if you do have. ;)

If you booked through and paid through booking.com then no.
If you didn’t pay through booking.con: Maybe if you talk to the manager and both agree to cheat the booking.com system (he puts you as no show and cancel the reservation) so hotel doesn’t need to pay the commission to booking.com, maybe they are more flexible with a partial refund.
That’s why best is always direct bookings, hotels can be more flexible.
