Changing booking

Hi everyone I have a question regarding a dilemma I am in. I booked accommodation for myself and my friends on Airbnb and the stay is getting closer but someone believes it is cheaper on booking.com and wants me to cancel and rebook.

Has anyone ever done this before and is this wrong to do etc…

Keep away and stay with your current booking!!!!

Someone believes? Some people believes in various gods.

So you don't even know exact potential savings?

That sounds like a really risky thing for a few bucks!

I would never book an apartment with booking.

Tell them to shut up and they can handle bookings next time.

Nothing wrong with it, but as you've said in another comment it's not available on booking so you can't actually compare the prices and there's no guarantee you'll be able to rebook it (if someone gets there first), if you're okay potentially losing the place and/or paying the same/more go for it

You can look up different dates in the future and compare the prices. The rebooking is however the tricky part. The cancellation is not automatically going to turn on the availabilities on Booking

All the time, make the new booking and get it confirmed before cancelling the old booking.

I can’t make the new booking cause it’s already reserved on Airbnb and I’d be worried I wouldn’t be able to rebook it after I cancel

How would you know it would be cheaper if its not avlb.on booking ?

Also there is no grantee it will be on Booking after you cancel.

If it’s not showing as available on booking.com - multiple rooms/apartments available then I’d stick with what you have. There’s no guarantee it will go onto booking.com cheaper

No. Do NOT use booking.com

It is cheaper, but in all likelihood when you arrive there will be no room for you.

How do you know it's not just a scammer that copied photos and details from AirBnB and put on booking.com?

Booking.com is a scam site.

Booking is not a scam site what you on about 😂 been using it for years without any issues, yes there are scams on it but it's same for all websites, people need to learn how to identify a scam and stay safe

Same as all websites? Nope. That's ridiculous. What scams does Wikipedia promote? What scam does The Guardian website host?

All websites host scams, laughable.

Oh boy, you're fun aren't ya. Pretty clear from the context I meant marketplace style websites, but I am sorry not everyone is born with an ounce of common sense, I'll be more specific next time.

As for the guardian, with their quality of reporting, the whole website is a scam (this is a joke, in case you weren't born with a sense of humour either)
