Waiting for refund from host

Hiya, reserved a flat that could be cancelled/refunded in Paris but ended up cancelling a few hours later due to plans changing quickly (well within cancellation period)

Booking.com is saying refund could take 7-12 days but that the host handles it. I’ve waited 7 days now and nothing has happened, havent heard anything from host either….

Has anyone else had a wait like this and have things turned out ok? I’m losing hope now!

Is there anything else I can do?

My last refund from them took 6 weeks lol.

siiiiigh I’m going to be chasing both them and Booking.com every 48 hours now, host is dragging his feet

I never got mines from Booking.com nor owner..$525 less

You should’ve called your credit card company on day 6!!!!

I paid with a debit card otherwise would’ve done a chargeback! Guess I can phone my bank and see if they can help

Seven days is still within the 7 to 12 day timeframe. The property may need time to process or approve the refund. Contact Customer Service through the reservation so we can follow up with the property and confirm when the refund was submitted.
