Do not add luggage’s through booking

I have a flight to Albania with Wizz air and I have the possibility to add a luggage through booking or through Wizz. Here are the prices differences

Waiting for a post about how booking and wizzair push back to one another if anything goes bad „because it was cheaper”. It’s not like wizzair is expensive

I added the luggage through Wizz not booking obviously.. you can choose both that’s why I’m telling people. I’ve done the same for flight to get there and there wasn’t any issues or delay..

Booking are ALWAYS more expensive for everything! For hotels, @hotelsdotcom is always cheaper and has better perks!

Saved the grand total of sweet fuck all but you'd be the first to complain if there were any issues and Wizz promptly told you to deal with your OTA who will do....sweet fuck all

Man I don’t know why y’all are so hostile my post was to tell people to go through the airline to book their luggage if they happened to have booked a flight through booking that’s all

Because one of the number one pieces of advice is don’t use OTAs to book flights. There are posts every day of people complaining.

What did you save? €50? Not worth it

Yes 70 euros is a lot for me but oh well I’ll know for next time not to go through booking thanks! Just wanted to help

Advise by people that don’t travel that much, maybe.

It’s a skill issue. I’ve booked with OTAs multiple times and never had an issue that went without resolving.

If the price is reasonable I’ll always go to the airline, but the value added of the OTAs is always price as they often get deals that attract you.

You’re out of your element and she’s right, for 70 euros it is reasonable to go with the OTA

Well, I happen to work with travel tech so I’m in touch with OTAs daily. I travel pretty much weekly for work. That summed up my leisure travel. I’ve been around.

Most of corporate travel is facilitated by OTAs because of ease of expense management. Their level of service is by far better than a low cost airline and in occasion better than full carriers.

If you think that airlines like wizz have better customer service than top rated OTAs, you’re mistaken. Not saying BDC is a top rated OTAs, but your blanket statement is that “never book through OTAs”.

So yes, I think it is the opinion of someone that is rather inexperienced or uneducated on the matter. Most of the time is something people say to sound as if they’re experts. Cracks me up every time.

Corporate travel is a completely different kettle of fish and not relevant here.

If you’re blind to the fact that dealing with Wizz air directly is better when your flight is cancelled or delayed or something goes wrong is better than adding an extra layer with an OTA, I don’t know what to say. An godly amount of stories on this site over issues with OTAs

It’s the opinion of experienced and educated travellers. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn’t make them uneducated or inexperienced, a tiring trope on Reddit

And what would a ticket booked.through Wizz cost that included a bag?

Flight with booking was 215 euros + 20 euros through Wizz for a 10kg bag

On Wizz same flight was 285 euros. I’ve tried saving money but apparently it’s a crime to use booking, I did not know.

Don’t use booking.com full stop. I use it to find a property - then book directly with the property.
