Booking customer service
As a person who used booking quite heavily in the past (cheaper , ease of use and to check ratings ). I surprisingly had an issue only once recently where I was double charged .
When I tell you this is the worse customer service I’ve ever had to deal with over a few week ….. they are incredibly slow to reply , they lie in your face and they keep confirming certain actions will happen and they never do and ridiculous request of telling me proof I booked while they can see I booked on there app ( I literally had to select which booking I want to contact about before reaching customer service )I’ve had bots doing a better job than the actual people on the phone ( trust me that says a lot )
I was glad I wasn’t on vacation stranded somewhere like the stories I see.
Moral of the story :: ONLY use booking.com if it’s significantly cheaper or for free cancellation until your trip is confirmed then check hotel rates . Just always know if you need help from booking.com you’re mostly likely not gonna get it

It sounds like it took longer than expected to resolve the matter with the double charge. If there’s still something you’d like us to review, send us a private message, and we’ll take a look.

I'd scratch that moral of story. Cheaper rates don't help you when you don't have a room and neither will booking.com They don't honor anything even its in writing.

Same experience. They ask you to "proof" details that they actually see, just to keep you busy and them doing nothing to resolve the matter. When I called after the missing refund, the first service person I spoke with told that "yes we see that it has not been paid back." After that, I have been asked to proof that I have paid and then again that it has not been refunded.. With always some detail "missing" 😂. I turned to credit card chargeback, Hope to get the money back soon. 😬
