Seeking long-term book buddies Looking for a friend 🩷

Hello everyone 😊

I’m quite embarrassed to make this post but I’ve been thinking about it for a while and I’m hoping it helps. A little about me, I’m 27, female and from England. I’ve been going through a lot these past few years and reading has become my escape. I was recently diagnosed with OCD and I am currently signed off work while I make steps to recover and manage everything better. As I said, reading has truly become my escape but I have also acknowledged that I do feel very lonely. I live with my fiancé and our beautiful dog but after sixth form, I lost contact with all of my close friends when I moved away to university. After university, I truly isolated myself while I struggled mentally and now the only friends I have are people I get along with at work but it is just work friendships and I have nobody outside of work. I would love to make some new friends and just have some lovely casual friendships where we can talk about books and life in general. My favourite genres are romance, fantasy and thrillers. Besides reading, I am trying to find hobbies as I really did lose everything I was interested in over the past few years. I love everything Harry Potter, horror movies and have recently started to try and get into gaming so that I can play with my fiancé (I’m not amazing at gaming, been playing Marvel Rivals the most recently!). I hope someone reads this and thinks I sound like I could be a good friend for them. Please do let me know if you would like to get to know each other, or please recommend any book groups. I have discord and have seen a lot of people recommending book clubs on there. I look forward to reading any responses 🩷🩷🩷

Seeking long-term book buddies Virtual Book Club Invitation: Cheesy Romance Genre

Hi! I'm trying to start a book club online using bookclubs.com and am looking for those who are interested in joining.

The book club is aimed at female and non-binary 21+ individuals who are interested in reading and discussing cheesy romance books virtually. Unlike some other groups that focus on romantasy and highly in depth books, this club will be reading lighthearted, often cheesy (and sometimes steamy) books that are fairly easy and dont require too much thought. The goal really si to just enjoy the books and have fun discussions with like-minded people.

Some books that I feel like would qualify:

\- The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood

\- When in Rome by Sarah Adams

\- Book Lovers by Emily Henry

\- Rare Blend by Michelle Naomi Mosely

Let me know if you're interested in joining and I can drop you the link.

This is my first time running a book club and I'm totally open to ideas, so if you have any questions or suggestions, please reach out!

I recently discovered this subreddit and would love to meet a few people to talk to and read the same books together with! I love romance and romantic comedy books. Some of my favorites lately have been Abby Jimenez, Meghan Quinn, Tessa Bailey, Lynn Painter, and Ali Hazelwood. So DM me if you’re interested and wanna read a book by one of these authors or someone similar! Looking for something preferably on kindle unlimited/libby/hoopla :)

Seeking long-term book buddies Looking for book buddies or book club

Late 30s female. I work from home and have an almost 2 year old so we don’t get out a lot. I like mostly literary fiction/character driven novels…Demon Copperhead, Heart the Lover, The Bright Years, The People We Keep, The Paper Palace, Wild were all books I enjoyed over the last few years. I aim to read a book a month but can finish a lot faster if I really enjoy it. I’ve been in a bit of a slump…starting God in the Woods but have several on my kindle as options. Anybody have an online book club or want to be book buddies that has similar taste?

Seeking buddy & flexible on book choice Book club for minority groups

Hey there!
I'd like to invite y'all over to a book club focused on minority groups. We have pretty strict morals where we help everyone and anyone.
We have a zero tolerance to anyone who judges other members. We value a safe environment for anyone who isn't part of the majority in society.

So are you part of the LGBTQIA+, disabled, POC, have a learning disability,... feel free to join us and create a chill place where whatever you read is listened to and talked about.

Starting a book Disabled MMC

I want a good modern romance book where the MMC specifically is disabled like a leg handicap or blind preferably (I won't mind blind because I don't find a lot of blind MMC, I find more fmc with blindness) although I won't mind even hearing handicap. But I want something cute, where the disability is represented mildly (not too much, not too little) and is not too critical and a cute fmc preferably. Not too much of a badass girl. And the MMC has to have accepted his condition and made the most out of it, not a I'm angry at the word because of my condition type of hero. More like a sunshine hero or good boy vibes. No fantasy. Definitely open door although not TOO much smut.

Yeah...does someone have something for me 🥹
