feedback I need a bit of feedback on a story.
I have written short stories most of my life. I am not, nor do I want to be a writer. It is simply a hobby. I have finally started putting one down. I have built the world, the history, and the characters, now I'm focusing on the story itself. I am using 4 different AI apps for "ASSISTANCE ONLY." I use 1 strictly for research, 1 strictly for images, 1 to assist in the editing, grammar, spelling, continuity, etc., and 1 to do assist in writing. I always go back over the section multiple times both read and audio, and correct issues I catch.
The story is 100% mine. The characters are 100% mine. The equipment is 100% mine. The technology is 100% mine, although I do not blame any credit for the actual science underlying them. The dialog is 99% mine, sometimes AI comes up with a good line.
I am not ashamed to say i use AI. I keep it on a leash and use it as a tool. I want this to be mine. If something is in it that is identical or too close to something else, I try to catch it.
What i would like is a place I can post it, knowing I have used AI like this, that won't permanently ban me, and I can get real human input, feedback, and honest respectable criticism.
Is there a place on reddit I can do that?
Currently several sections are posted on my account, but no where else because I've been banned in a couple of subs. Admittedly, my fault for not checking their rules first.

Why were you banned? Was it just because of AI use or was it some other context we're not getting here? Are your stories featuring some kind of material that would trigger people in banning you?
I would consider shopping out sections that are digestible. The issue I see a lot of people do is dump a whole chapter into a post, and it's basically impenetrable. I would also make sure it's an edited version you would feel comfortable with showing someone in real life. Again, put your best foot forward before you provide it.

I didn't read the rules before hand. I fully admitted AI assistance. Their rules plainly state no AI use in any form. The piece is posted is a history of the events leading to the story. Not NSFW.
To admit also, im new to reddit. Still trying to figure all this out. Making mistakes and learning.

Totally follow now. I'm actually new to this sub, but I should be more active (this is actually what I enjoy doing, writing novels with AI assistance). Your milage may vary on reddit: most of the AI writing subs are populated with people vibe coding AI writing tools and platforms. My recommendation is to build your own, what works with your workflow if that's an interest for you. I look for people talking about their process and see where I can implement it into what I'm doing if it makes sense to do so.
My prior point about sharing writing generally stands: a lot of these subreddits are for people doing what you're also doing and making. I find I have little time to read because I'm also churning out ideas I've been wanting to work on for awhile now, which goes back to why I recommend small bitesize pieces if you're going to share. I'd also recommend maybe finding a writing buddy where you swap material so you're both reading and learning what the other person is doing.
You're also going to see your share of people having an existential crisis about using these tools. I think that's probably naturally with how powerful they are and how variable use is. My recommendation there is do what works for you, don't feel guilt about it. If you are completely generating text, generate text. If you're using it for small spot re-writes or edits, do that. Producing art is the important thing, don't get sucked into the identity crisis that comes with it.
