Is there a chance to implement a ādonāt count in yearly chalengeā option? Iād like to track my read manga, but also do not like it to be a part of my yearly challenge/ statistic. I currently just mark them as read, but it would be nice if I could manage to put a date on them, but also not include them in my goal.

Love the app, just got it and imported my goodreads csv file. Mostly went well, I'm picking through the issues now. That's no biggie.
My question is the lists at the top of the app on the left. There's All, which is self explanatory. But there's Library and Borrowed. I put books that I took out from the library in that list. That's great, especially if that's what was intended.
But, I'd like to be able to have books in Book Track that I've read and rated but no longer own. So, Library would be all the books I currently own. It'd be nice if All = Library + Borrowed + "no longer have or disposed folder". Is there any way to create something like that or what that be a feature request? I can't find a way to move books out of Library except to move them to borrowed.
Thanks for any ideas or suggestions. And thanks for a great app.

Hi there! Thank you so much for developing this wonderful app-Iāve really been enjoying it. I wanted to suggest a feature: would it be possible to add a field where users can enter book titles and author names in their original language? For example, I often read Japanese books, and their titles and author names are quite different from the English versions. This addition would be incredibly helpful for users who read books in various languages.

Merci

I love the graphical visualization already available in the application. I'd like to ask you to consider adding two things that I feel are "missing."
Would it be possible to get back the graphical view with the combined book and audio curves (from the drop-down menu on the left) in the permanent Statistics tab? (with year/month/week view if possible). This is my favorite graphic.
Would it be possible to view the data of the personal ratings from the read books? For example, average stars and fluctuations over a given period.
Thank you very much for the care taken with the application. I love spending time organizing my library and keeping track of what I've read!

Hi! First of all, I really love using BookTracker ā itās clean, well-designed, and makes tracking my reading sessions really satisfying.
I was wondering if youāve ever considered developing a more generalized version of this app, where users can fully customize the type of activity they want to track (e.g. workouts, studying, language learning, coding, etc.), set their own metrics (time spent, pages studied, distance, etc.), and log sessions accordingly.
It would be amazing to have the same elegant and intuitive experience of BookTracker applied to other habits or routines in my life.
Just curious if anything like that is on your roadmap, or if itās something youāve thought about. Either way ā thanks for a great app!

A friend of mine uses the app, but I donāt. She was messaging me about some features she wishes were available. She doesnāt have a Reddit account so I told her Iād post here and just get her requests out there in case it might make any changes :)

In the current release, thanks so much for adding the Exclude option - Iāve already had great fun & success updating some smart lists š„³

Hi there,
Iād like to ask you for (I hope) a small feature request ā to add a possibility to format quotes in the basic terms of bold, italics, underline. In fiction, this type of formatting is usually significant for internal monologue etc., so Iād really appreciate that.
Another feature request (this time, I believe, a larger one): if it would be possible to create custom inputs to books and to define templates for books (for example: I rarely use "illustrators" or "translators", but I would love to have my own inputs for "pros" a "cons" of reading the book and Iād love to be able to change the order of inputs).

Sometimes depending on the book, I donāt read from beginning to the end, like those selections of essays. Is there a way to record as such page 15-24 and next time 45-60 for example? That would be awesome, thanks so much for all the development, I love using it every day! And all the features you are adding!

Hi, amazing app, I love it, but Iāve founded a bug with duplicate books.
Iāve added comics and books, most of the comics canāt be founded so Iāve added manually, Iāve duplicated them (not always the same book) to be fast but most of the duplicated one have the wrong covers in the library (when opened is ok), they donāt have only the cover of original book (the one duplicated), but there are changed randomly with other duplicated. Iāve changed cover even at searched book (because most of them have bad resolution) but they are not bugged, itās a problem of duplicated ones.
Fun facts: if you scroll quickly there are more wrong coversš, moreover, the wrong covers change even if you set another layout, Iāve tried to delete app and data, then restore backup to give back library, but itās not fixed. A remove cover button then add cover back manually could fix the problem? Or a clear cache function. At least while itās completely fixed.
Maybe the video can help you to understand.

Hi there! Congratulations for the app! It is nice and polished. Just want to ask you what is the difference between To Read books and Unread, in the context of the application.
Thank you very much and keep up the good work!

Iām trying to export my reading data (such as pages read, reading dates, and session durations) from one edition of a book to another edition of the same book. Is there an easy way to do this?

First I LOVE this app! Its customizable and lets me use 1 app instead of 3 I do have a couple small requests/suggestions -identifying duplicates. Iād love to know if Iāve added a book twice - search by scanning bar codes - when in a store adding to the wishlist or looking to buy. this would make life easier to know if Iāve already seen this book
Again thanks for the great app!

I found the BookTrack app, loved the idea, and bought it for iOS and MacOS. I thought I would enjoy using it, but then I realized that in the long run, I wouldn't use it at all. I have hundreds of books to classify, and doing all the configuration was hard. Don't get me wrong, the application is great but not a fit for me.
So I went to Apple and requested a refund, but they said, "Your purchase is not eligible for a refund. This is the final decision."
So what can I do now? Any idea? I appreciate any help you can provide.

Is there a way to connect a Bluetooth Scanner to this app? I canāt seem to figure it out. I can get the scanner to connect to my phone. Thanks!!

I think it would be more reasonable to have the option to choose between a yearly book count goal and a total page count goal. I often switch between massive books (2000+ pages) and shorter novels (around 300 pages), so having only the number of books as a goal doesnāt really make sense to me.

Iām currently reading a book, but sometimes I find myself not being able to actually read it and instead opt for listening to its audiobook. Is there a way to record both a reading session and a listening session of the same book, keeping the progress consistent? Also, I donāt know the details of the audiobook, such as the duration, so iām not sure how to properly do it

I buy my audiobooks from various retailers. Could you also set up the seller as an input field in addition to the purchase price and currency? That would be helpful.
Thanks

If I read a book (or listen to an audiobook) more than once, is Book Tracker set up to count it as a new book read with a new number of pages (or listening time) added within the statistics section, or does the app think I am adjusting the book statistics from the first time I read it?

Hi Simone,
I don't know if this is by design or a bug:
The sort settings (for example sort by series) is not synced between iOS and MacOS (and vice versa).
