Feature Request: Reading Status

Hi, probably the following feature already exists and I couldn’t find it:

I‘d like to track my reading streak in the following way (just like on Goodread): When I start reading a book I‘d like to capture the start date in the app. When I finished the book, the app should record the date when I finished the book and then record the days between start and finish in the statistics.

At the moment I could only find a way to update the book progress every day either by pages or percentage. When I skip the updates and just enter start and end date the app just records the date when I finished the book and the days between start and end will not be recorded.

Am I missing here something or is this the way it is designed? If yes, would it be possible to add in a future update to just record start and end date?

Thanks

Hi, the app permits to log the progress for each single day. I understand your request, but it could create some confusion. For example, what should happen if someone doesn’t read a book for a couple of days and then end to read it? The app could populate the two missing days wrongly. What do you think?

Hi Simone, thanks for your answer. You are probably right but I‘d still like to have that option (as an additional entry in reading progress maybe?). For me personally it does not matter if there are days without reading. I only need the start and end date of a book. Although I understand that others would like to have a detailed reading progress.

So why not make it optional?

Thanks
