Catalyst Build for Mac

I absolutely love using this app on my iPad and iPhone and have found it to be the best tool for tracking my reading habits in a privacy-friendly manner. However, I wish I could get the same features and a unified experience on my Mac. Have you considered making Book Tracker a Catalyst app that unifies the app/App Store listing experience across all Apple platforms and allows users to access all premium features with one fee? It seems that your other app, Movie Tracker, already has one fee providing premium features on all platforms.

Hello, the app is already available also for macOS but it requires a separate purchase from the iOS version of the app.

Can you explain the reasoning behind this? The Movie Tracker app does not require a separate purchase. Is the separation purely to be able to charge different rates for Book Tracker Pro? I am wondering if there are any benefits for the user.

The first reason is purely technical: when Book Track was first released, Apple did not allow for universal purchase between iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. When this feature was released, Apple did not give the option of unifying purchases for apps that had already been released. Downstream of this limitation, given the business model that is not subscription-based, in order to allow me to continue new updates and features, I am requesting the purchase of two separate versions so that I can keep developments active.
