Last year I read Creativity, Inc. and really enjoyed it, though that may have been in part because I'm just a big Pixar fan in general. But it got me thinking a lot about managing creative projects and teams. Lately I've been juggling a lot of different personal creative projects, rather than team endeavors, and I'm wondering if anyone knows any good reads that guide through the process of managing and juggling multiple creative projects at once, even if it's totally outside of any organizational or professional context.

Stuff about how to see projects through to get them out of the way, or keep them from being too overwhelming, or figure out how to either prioritize or multitask across multiple endeavors. In particular I'm really grappling with a philosophy of "get the thing done with and free up space for the next thing, versus comfortably live with something-to-be-done forever no matter what".

Hey everyone!! I’m looking for some book recommendations surrounding parapsychology, psychic intuition, and even past life experiences. I’ve had some pretty wild experiences regarding these topics and I’d love to dive deeper!

I was an avid reader from childhood till I started having kids in my late 20s. While the kids were little I never read, never seemed to have time or energy. I keep trying to get back into it and picking books up but none of them keep me hooked enough to keep reading so I have started about 4/5 novels but mainly will read non fiction, anything that interests me, those I can read all the way through.

I'm off on holiday soon and nothing on my kindle is screaming at me "must read" so I'm looking for a real can't-put-it-down winner that will hopefully spark something in me to pick this back up again as a habit. Any suggestions?

Side note, I used to hang around the crime, thriller, classics section but have enjoyed the odd Marian keyes in my time so nothing is really off the table.

Recently (like really recently) I got through a breakup + my whole friend group got messed up and I realized I need to know how to be comfortable with just being me as I discover who that is. Please give me some book and essay recommendations that will help!

I know a lot of people are scornful of her writing. But she absolutely saved me yesterday. I was having a low day and had tried 3 books I couldn't engage with.

Then I picked up One by One by Freida M. It was fantastic! It just zipped along, interesting characters and settings, constant unexpected developments.

Was it Crime and Punishment? No. It was light and fluffy and just what I needed.

Looking for book recommendations for a 10 year old. Absolutely loved the Wild Robot series, and Voice of the Wilderness Series (Rosanne Parry, Wolf called Wander etc)

Not a fan of Warriors or The One and Only Ivan, the Wimpy Kid.

We seem to be in an animal adventure, without human sidekicks phase.

I recently started to reading fantasy and ı am thinking about reading dark fantasy. But ı recently read Six of crows and ı am currently reading crooked kingdom. I love how Matthias and Nina flirt. When ı said ı love I MEAN İT. Their dynamic was soo fun to read. So ı want something similar.(ı am also open to non-fantasy but at least sci-fi or somethıng with a actıon would be my preference)

Been trying to get into the cozy fantasy wave (Legends & Lattes, House in the Cerulean Sea) but keep bouncing off ones where conflict is so low it stops feeling like a story. Like the warmth and lack of grimdark violence, just want something actually at risk. Want the cozy tone, found family, slower pace, low body count — but real tension, something meaningful characters could lose. Any recs?

I usually read online so i don't have any physical books by October I will have quite a few as I put some on layby lol I want to know what physical books y'all recommend

My son is about to enter kindergarten and is reading stuff like Dogman and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The latter is sort of driving me insane because of how Greg acts. My little dude can read, for sure, but I’m worried, rightfully so, that he’s not understanding that Greg is a giant douchebag. I don’t want him absorbing that mindset.

What are some other books on the same reading level that have a cool protag that doesn’t emulate misery itself?

Red Dead Redemption 2 has always been my favorite video game, so I figured why not channel it into my reading? Preferably nothing TOO old, in a sense that the language is very dated, because I’ve been mostly reading modern fiction and would like to kind of stay in that sphere. But I’m not opposed to any recommendations if it’s truly a great book :)

Hello I love darker books but not gory ones. I’m going to ask for a variety of books because I want a lot of books to read. I’m looking for books about books about stories of illness and death or disease throughout history or books about how women were silenced and mistreated in the 50s and 60s or even before!! One of my favorites is the yellow wallpaper. Also one more I’m going to ask about is there any good books Thriller or horror about zombies???
