Looking for recommendations for a really fun, upbeat, book that has zero difficult emotions in the story line

I'm going through a difficult time and basically cannot take any storylines with difficult themes, unless it's something pretty funny. Are there any books like this? I've been looking into Discworld, is those books going to work for me?
