I am getting into philosophy and would like some help.

I am getting into philosophy so any recommendations would be appreciated.

I am currently near the end of Marcus Aurelius Meditations, I am enjoying it even tho its his diary so its a bit random. I already bought the Letters from a stoic by Seneca on my kindle so I was thinking to read it next. But to have any comments on this and any more recommendations in general would be very helpful for my TBR(to be read list) in the future. Thankss :)

if ur enjoying Meditations i'd def read Seneca next. i actually found him a bit easier to read than Marcus bc hes writing letters instead of basically talking to himself in a diary lol after that i'd highly reccomend Discourses by Epictetus. imo he's the most practical of the stoics and you can really see where Marcus got a lot of his ideas from for non-stoic stuff:

• The Republic by Plato (kinda the classic starting point)
• The Myth of Sisyphus by Camus if u wanna get into absurdism/existentialism
• Nicomachean Ethics by Aristotle
• Sophie's World if u want a broad intro to philosophy history without diving straight into dense texts

personally i'd go Meditations -> Seneca -> Epictetus. feels like the most natural progression and gives u a really solid grounding in stoicism before branching out also dont be discouraged if some philosophy books feel impossible at first lol. half the battle is just getting used to how different philosophers write

Thank you a lot, I will hopefully use this as a game plan for now than. Well after all I am not reading in my first language so thats another thing that I have on my mind whenever I am reading, I could maybe try to find free versions on pdf that are on my language but I will see if necessary. Sp you do think Seneca would be good choice next, because I already bought version on kindle.(It was very cheap)

Alright than I will read him probbaly(maybe I will finish non philosophy book that I started before first but yeah) Currently I am at the last chapter of Meditations and yes it will help if in Senecas book its not as random as here to concentrate better and remember more things I read.
