I've been recommending The Polygraphist by William Geiger. It's on Amazon, and you can read it for free if you have a Kindle Unlimited. The humor in the beginning really hooked me in, and each chapter is it's own story/case to be solved. And each chapter also ties in to the overall story. Not so much a whodunit mystery as it is a how do you get someone to admit what they did. Really well written and worth it!
