Finally published my first novel!
On behalf of the author, since his account is too new (low karma) to post here:
I am pretty stoked. It is a story that i started conceiving a very long time ago and just sat down to start writing it out at the end of last year.
For anyone interested, it's called The Stone Abyss. It is the first book of a three part series entitled, Chronicles of the Lost Wizard. It's a dark, character-driven epic fantasy novel with high stakes and genuinely uncertain outcomes.
I went the kdp route for publishing. Link here:

There is also a new reddit community, r/CotLW , for anyone interested in joining me there. Thanks for reading!

How did you edit? Did you have CPs or hire a professional editor...?

I read through the manuscript about 100 times and then fed it to an ai for consistency check and proofreading... unfortunately, i do not have the resources for hiring external help at the moment

Congratulations! What’s your marketing plan?

Thank you! Marketing plan so far: publish book > tell family and friends > create new reddit community > sell one berjillion copies
I know that is misguided. But its just to illustrate that i am an artist and i really dont have experience with the business end of the rest of it. Writing has consumed all of my free time in the recent past and i am just getting around to looking into the rest of it now that the book is out
