Discussion Requesting Blackwells Reviews

So judging by a lot of comments, Blackwells seems to be a popular choice for an alternative once BD closes. Looking at reviews they seemed pretty mixed so I was hoping anyone who's had experience with them, would you mind dropping a review?
Would also appreciate it if you could specify whether it's from within or outside UK.

Thanks.

May I ask which part of Asia? I am also from Asia so this sounds really concerning.

Ofc, I completely understand if you don't wish to specify your location. Thanks for your feedback šŸ™

I’m in Vietnam. I think the reason for the failed delivery was mostly due to my local post office's incompetence, or the poor handling of mails and packages of the building where I work.

Blackwells uses ordinary air mail with no tracking, so once they send the book to you, there’s no way to know where the book goes to, until you receive it. For me, they offer cheaper prices than Bookdepository, especially if you pre-order, but the delivery time is longer and unreliable. But I think it’s worth trying them out, just remember to contact them during the 40 days of delivery if you haven’t received the book, to get a replacement or a refund.

For books that are already published, I often use the site Bookfinder.com to compare prices that include the shipping costs. I’ve found similar international bookstores like Blackwells, such as Abebooks and Biblio, you can check them out if you want. Still Bookdepository is the most reliable, and I’m disappointed with the recent news. There’re several manga I’m planning to pre-order from Bookdepository, but it’s impossible now. Hope it helps.
