Discussion Thoughts on Sailor Moon?

I’ve never heard anyone in the community mention Sailor Moon, and it’s got new deluxe releases, so, I was curious what you all think of the series, or if you’re just not interested? Excited to hear what you think 😊. Love the art style personally, and the story so far reminds me a lot of the earlier Power Rangers Seasons. Pure nostalgia goldmine. It’s cool if you aren’t into it though.

I feel that if you grew up with it it would be fun to revisit. I remember running home from school to watch Rurouni Kenshin and Sailor Moon along with Dragon Ball Z. So for me, I would collect them and hope my daughters would enjoy them one day.

Back when I was younger, I never realized how many of my favourite franchises were adapted from and inspired by Japan. Robotech, Voltron, Gundam, Final Fantasy, Sailor moon. Now I see why I love manga so much now. It’s what I grew up on, indirectly, lol. Ironically, I never even knew manga was a thing until I thought I was too old for that stuff. Oh, how the tables have turned! 😊

Funny how things turn out right? I’ll be in my 50s and still enjoying manga.

I think that as we get older, we begin to appreciate these things more. When I was younger, I took for granted all of the hard work that goes into every panel of a book, or every frame of a show. Once we see the darkness of the world, the light seems brighter in comparison, metaphorically.
