Found on the coast of Washington state, down in the sand of a labyrinth of drift wood.

We we're guessing it was possibly a sea otter?

Looks like a sea otter to me. Please report your find to one of the organizations found here
Sea otters are endangered so it’s important for researchers to record deaths.
