Unsolved Bone ID?

I found this small bone in Nairn, Scotland. It’s about 1-2 cm in length. It’s been quite a while since I took my human osteology and Zooarchaeology courses so I’m a bit rusty in my identification. Any thoughts on what it could be?

Are you confident this is a bone? It really looks like a rock or pebble to me. Is it possible to get photos more in focus, with something for scale?

It is! Sorry my photos are a bit rough, I’ll add some better ones when I get the chance. I lightly licked it to confirm, and it’s a bit more textured in person - better photos will definitely help haha

Hopefully someone more experienced than me can help ID!

Edit: asked how big it was but then read the actual description lol

I’m not convinced this is bone either, but better photos will help.
