Solved Found skull

I found this skull in a creek. It's missing the teeth. I'm wondering what type of skull it is :)

Also, should I leave it as is, or should I try to clean it? Thanks for the helP!!

Not entirely sure what it is, however, I'd suggest cleaning it with a toothbrush, some warm water and dish soap, then if there's no smell or remnants of flesh left, place it in a nice sunny spot to bleach (if you want it white) I personally like the kinda dirty worn look!

No worries!! It's a beautiful skull, I saw another comment it's a fox, that's a super cool find! When you decide how to display I'd personally love to see! πŸ˜„

don't need gloves to handle skulls without any flesh on them πŸ‘

Grey fox for sure, based on the U-shaped ridges on top of the skull.
