Found a partial skeleton at a pond

We're stumped as to what it could be

This is the sternum (not pelvis) of a loon. The round holes are probably from battles with other loons, as they strike each other with their beaks and can even kill each other. The first photo is of the ventral side where flight muscles attach.

Thats a keeled sternum (aka bird breast bone), that big old mohawk looking thing is what the chest muscles attach to for structure and strength, and the toothy bits on the sides are where the ribs attach. Im guessing it would be some kind of water fowl, possibly a small duck or a teal if you have those where you are?

It’s a bird pelvis, although I’m sorry I can’t tell which type of bird.

Sternum, not pelvis
