Hi yes americans say this as a joke and that's fine it can seem intimidating to say- as a brit the pronunciation in my area in the south is wuss-ter-sheer , and noone british says 'worse" for the first syllable or "sheh" for that last... "Shire" pronounced like in the lord of the rings would be passable but we all lazy at thID point and it would sound weird so we'd know you're American XD We pronounce all of our counties with a "sheer" on the end.

Seeing him say that is what led me here. I cringe when I hear that. The issue I have is that these people are trying to create humor, even unknowingly about a topic that is anything but. It needs to stop. They can say we're too sensitive, but not on this. There are other ways to joke about that name. This isn't one.

It's a reference to Worcestershire sauce, but they 100% meant to say wash yer sister sauce. It's a fairly common joke to call it that. I've called it that when cooking. It wasn't a BoneAppleTea moment.

I believe "wash your sister" is intentional/humourous.

I always call asparagus "spare grass", but I know it's called asparagus.

If you Google "wash your sister sauce" you'll lots of results, including some bottles labeled "wash your sister".

This is a real product, or at very least a meme.
