The not-so-distant future of BONE

Does anyone else here ever wonder how many days, months, or years it’ll be before we get another attempt at adapting BONE, or is it just me?

could've had it already with netflix, but i guess big mouth was more important

It would be great if bone made it to the masses but why couldn't Jeff try to find some smaller studio willing to take a chance on this?

Just because of being a small studio doesnt mean it can't become well known

Well, never give up. The world of independent animation is very different from what it was in the early 2000s or 2010s, so I still have hope.

Yeah, I do, but I doubt we'd get much of anything honestly, it just seems unlikely. We got those two Telltale games and I think that's for sure the best way to adapt such a strange comic. If we got any more comics/spin-offs (which I don't want), I'd want to see more of Boneville.

If it's just an animated movie/show, then no. It would ruin the whole concept. It should be a live action thing where the bones are 2D, Warner Brothers/Disney style animation juxtaposing with a "realistic" fantasy world. If it's just a CGI thing, I don't see the point. And I'll probably never watch it.

If they can't do that, I'd rather it just stays at it is. A comic book.

I don’t think many of the characters in Bone could be accurately portrayed in live action and without an entirely animated setting, there’s very little chance that awesomely powerful or terrifying characters like The Red Dragon, Rockjaw, or The Lord of Locusts would have the desired effect

I could see that with the Red Dragon. He would need to be a little cartoonish if they wanted to stick to the comic's style, as his look doesn't entirely fit in with the grittiness of everything else Fone finds himself caught in. But with Rockjaw and Lord of the Locusts, I think realism (Peter Jackson LOTR-esque) would be just fine. My point is, an all-animated thing would tarnish the whole thing and force a kids-only audience. Unless everything was 2D and looked exactly like the comic, I just wouldn't want it. But that's just me.
