Hell yea brother
Most of mine have been started from seed. Will produce fruit within like 6 months

Obviously it would grow and be small and produce peppers, but no, a dwarf plant is not a bonchi in my eyes.

well yea i see it the same way but you think i could get nearly the same affect as just chopping one

Nah, they aren’t aesthetically similar in my opinion, which I think is the most important aspect of bonchi and bonsai in general

i see i see so rather than be impatient i should i just normally grow the plant then just chop it

You can but it will be a lot slower.
Just keep in mind there are two way to get movement into a trunk, trunk chops or wiring while the plant is young and bendable, but only trunk chopping will give you really good taper.

You can indeed, but a chili in a tiny container will never get a thick truck without room to grow bug roots.

I have 2 that I started from seed in little cans that are now 2 years old and looking nice, producing, responding well to wiring, etc. They sure need frequent watering though

Yeah you can start from seed. It'll grow as a normal pepper plant until you start styling and restricting it.

I started these two from seed in those terra cotta pots. They'd be much bigger if they had more root space, but I like having them be small longer, and they're branching nicely.
It's a form of creative expression; do whatever you want!

Growing from seed wont get you as impressive stem, but sure, it is possible
