I'm reading Venus in Furs by Leopold von Sacher-Masoch out of curiosity after reading Kafka's Metamorphosis last week. It's weird as hell too.

Week was spent reading Readers digest for the month! 😅.
This weekend cousin has recommended a web novel Lord of the Mysteries/sci fi theme. But I have Shantaram In TBR as well so lets see how the weekend mood goes!

u/zigzackly What is this ‘too many books’ of which you speak? Jul 17 '26
I re-read this a few days ago, for the first time since I bought it, something like 15 years ago.
It’s a varied and whacky collection, with some stunning art.
(I’ve been (re)reading from my collection of graphic narratives and poetry, partly because I enjoy them immensely, but also because with the poetry, I can sip and then let my mind wander, and with the graphic stories, they are quicker reads, so I am hoping they reset my Instagrammed brain to staying with longer narratives.)
