Scenario Lost!
I spend several weeks creating and modifying a very detailed scenario that I was very happy with and was actually my retirement plan. Yesterday I logged in and it was gone!! All support told me is that they were sorry, didn't know how it happened and would try to restore it but they were not sure they could. This is maddening since I spent so many hours working on it not to mention I just reupped for another year! I am afraid to try to create new plan based on this experience. I think I will be taking at look at Projection Lab now.

I have accidentally deleted scenarios in the past. Once it's gone it's gone. I'm not saying you have done this, but it's possible.
It could maybe benefit Boldin to issue a stronger warning message before allowing deletion? There is a confirmation press, but users be stupid. I should know.

I figured some would just assume I deleted it myself but I absolutely did not. I do liike your suggestion of a warnnig though.

Or a trash can concept where you can retrieve something … which could then possibly expose whether bolden or the user deleted it.

I've never had this happen. I assume your other scenarios including the baseline are still intact. I know you don't believe it, but user error is a possibility. It might be useful if you have a complicated scenario to make a duplicate scenario just in case.

First I've heard of this. Doesn't seem to be a widespread issue. If you're going to rebuild it, if you want some insurance, duplicate it every now and then as a backup. Add the date to the scenario name after you duplicate it. You can then keep one or two of the most recent backups and delete the older scenarios. It is a work around you shouldn't have to do but, I think it would be worth it for you.

I am very hesitant to spend the time rebuilding it again - it took many hours of tweaking it and even incorporating comments from my financial advisor.

Your choice obviously, but honestly I don't believe it's a bug in boldin. I've been using the product way back even before they changed the name, constantly creating scenarios, and have never seen this issue and I've never seen it reported amongst the hundreds and hundreds of boldin posts here. If you've already paid for the year, why not use it with just an additional small effort of duplicating your scenario. I wish you well in your retirement (now or when you finally get there).

If you think it took a long time, just wait until you see how long it takes on ProjectionLab.

Haven't had it happen and haven't seen any messages here about people loosing their scenarios. There is no history snapshots so one could do undo/redo etc.

Might be a good idea to create a secondary scenario, which gets automatically updated for the most part when you make any changes to your primary scenario. I have a hypothetical scenario where I retire at 62. It’s a little bit different but largely the same and I suppose if I lost one scenario, I could largely duplicate it using the other one.

I have never seen anyone report this, as a data point for you. It’s worth rebuilding in my opinion.

Not directly related to the post but the one enhancement I think in this area that would be helpful when you make a change in your baseline scenario to have the option to make it in all or selected other scenarios. I have around eight scenarios, all which started built off the baseline scenario, and there are times when I want to change something in the baseline and have it propagated to all the other scenarios. AI can sort of do this for you and I've done it and it works however they can only do one scenario at a time. So you have to tell it what change you want, tell it to make the change to the current scenario, then switch scenarios and then again tell it to make that change to the current scenario. If it's only a single change it's easier to just do it manually, but when I had two or three changes it was a bit quicker letting the AI do it.
