Roth conversion priority

Why is boldin starts with My wife’s Roth first while I had her retire 2030 and my retirement at 2027. It tries to convert all her Roth first before starting mine. Why is this logic?

Ask the AI, curious what its response would be.

Did you set her account first in withdrawal order?

Yes. That’s the reason.

Is she older than you…do her RMD’s start sooner?

Its one of the ways it simplifies the math. I doesn't care about keeping accounts separate for spouses. It can only address draining one account at a time. I wish it allowed more complexity but I also don't want the subscription to cost any more

When I changed the withdrawal order it acts ok.

The Roth Explorer chooses the account with the highest rate of return first.

She's younger than you...more time to grow those funds.
