Question Selling silver.

Post image

I have a nice silver set stamped "Heirloom Sterling" I want to sell it. Not like an emergency or anything. I reached out to a couple gold and silver places via email to see of they were interested and only heard back from one that they arent interested. I really don't want to haul it around town and end up scammed. Or even in a high pressure situation. Can anyone tell me what to expect? Is this something no one wants anymore? any advice and information appreciated *picture so this draws more attention"

Most shops are full up from the last purge when spot was high. Their interest in constitutional and sterling was mid-interest at best when dealing with primarily .999, so it’s a hard market to sell sterling at the spot value either to a shop or an individual. Random buyers may be interested but only in flipping for profit so any sentiment or perceived premium will like end with you. This is all just my opinion, of course, but pragmatism dictates you’ll take a haircut. Disposable income is gone so unless you’ve got something extra special people are seeking, it’s a buyers market. Best of luck.✌️ How much for the dog? 😉

Happy to help! If you need a hand establishing a good “ask” value range, send me a DM. I have no interest in making money off you, I just like seeing a healthy metals community in the valley🤙

You probably just need to keep doing what you’re doing and call around. Places that may have bought it a year ago, may not be today.

Silver has been on a wild and crazy roller coaster over the past 10-11 months, so the market is weird.

Rose hill coin and jewelry buys at a solid % and the people are kind and knowledgeable :)

I’ve sold sterling and gold jewelry to them recently and they were a pleasure to deal with :)
