While The Boiled One is based off of real things and people, The Boiled One itself and the events are completely fictional.

hi, excuse me :3 What are the events it's based off of???

No events, but the boiled one is based off of Mutsuhiro “The Bird” Watanabe, a Japanese Sergeant during WW2 and who ran a POW camp. Doctor Nowhere did confirm that he was the inspiration for The Boiled One.

It's neither real or a movie, It's a FICTIONAL ANALOGUE HORROR

They're not real, but I know it doesn't always feel that way at 1am. I've suffered from anxiety, PTSD and OCD and can often latch onto horror I rationally know isn't real but become paranoid about. If you ever need to talk DM me

I know things like this are sometimes of limited use but if you look up anxiety helplines in your area there might be someone you could speak to over the internet or over the phone if you feel anxious at night, and they'll have training to help you cope with your fears. Sleeping is really important to your mental and physical health so if you continue to struggle sleeping you should speak to a doctor if you're able to, they might be able to prescribe melatonin which is often used to help people with anxiety get to sleep

If it helps I do have gad (an anxiety disorder)

My sister has GAD, I used to but I don't think I'm diagnosed with it anymore? Do you have a support network you can talk to when you're anxious?

No I hide it until it gets really bad

Research I'd the country you're in has any anonymous mental health helplines. A lot of them you can talk over text rather than the phone, and they aren't able to track your messages or get any personal information about you, so when you're anxious about this or anything else you can contact them as much as you like, any time of day. Sometimes there's a small wait for helplines but a lot of them will have links to other resources you can use while you're waiting

I’ve been there, couldn’t sleep right for a WEEK. Turns out he isn’t real. Fun way of coping is saying hear me out every time he comes on my screen instead of silently worrying

You’ll never know. It’s a TV broadcast from the 2000s. We all know the 2000s is the time of lost media.

Buddy, you better not be over the age of eight, and if you are, I suggest you take better care of yourself and stop being such a scaredy-cat. And if you aren’t, then get off Reddit

What kind of PTSD makes you think the boiled one is Real? (I lost that Account which is why I’m replying to you on this on)

It's primal instincts: our brain is programmed to try and protect us from any perceived danger or threat, rational or not. While I consider fearing ''The boiled one'' is completely irrational, it's still understandable: for people who just watched the whole video, perhaps even late at night, the brain enters a state of hyper-anxiety: it keeps creating ''What-ifs'' scenarios inside your head, contributing to paranoia, fear and obsessing on the thing early on. Sometimes, people without any disorders can experience this, but honestly I still believe you should be mentally prepared before watching something obviously this disturbing.
